Superintendent Community Update
Superintendent's Message
Dear JUHSD Community,
I write today to remind students to make use of the STOPit App. It is a great way to share information anonymously! We introduced the app last year, and continue to provide students access to this resource. New signage has been placed around our schools and teachers have shared information in Flex and Advisory classes this week to highlight this important resource.
STOPIT Highlights
Anonymity with Accountability: STOPit provides a completely anonymous, two-way reporting system. It allows users to report school or classroom concerns and issues to adults on campus that they would otherwise be uncomfortable to share. Students can report school or site concerns, threats of violence, bullying, or other issues without fear of being identified. This ensures that every voice can be heard.
Quick Action: Reports go directly to school administrators, enabling us to respond swiftly and effectively. The two-way communication feature lets administrators gather more details while protecting the reporter’s identity.
We have partnered with the Coalition for Safe Schools and Communities and the San Mateo County Office of Education to provide this access, as we are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and connected environment for all.
I encourage students and families to download the STOPit App and use it responsibly. By working together, we can ensure JUHSD remains a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard.
Let’s make a difference—one report, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time.
With gratitude,
Toni Presta

JUHSD is Honored at the CSBA Conference
The annual CSBA conference is an invaluable gathering of educational leaders from across the state, offering robust professional development opportunities for school boards and district leaders. It allows us to build meaningful connections, engage in insightful discussions, and share experiences to help strengthen our collective impact.
A highlight of this year’s conference was receiving the prestigious Golden Bell Award for our Staff Housing initiative at 705 Serramonte! This recognition specifically honors its positive impact on teacher recruitment and retention—a significant milestone for our district. I am so proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
