Dear Hayshire Families,

On Sunday morning, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his winter slumber and saw his shadow. According to legend, we are destined for six more weeks of winter. Thursday's inclement weather resulted in a Flexible Instruction Day. We'll stay tuned and see what the weather has in store for us!

National School Counseling Week is celebrated the first full week of February. National School Counseling Week recognizes the important role school counselors play in helping students succeed in school. We give thanks for our wonderful school counselor, Mrs. Wiltshire. She is a vital part of the educational process for all of our students at Hayshire!

Friday, February 7 is Friendship Day! The children are celebrating with a special PTO sponsored party. Thank you to our volunteers for making this day a memorable experience!

The CYSD Diversity Celebration is being held on February 12 from 6:00-8:00 at the HS. This event is a chance to highlight the unique experiences, perspectives, and cultures within our community. The event will feature school and community tables to explore, a selection of international treats to enjoy, and a special presentation beginning at 7:15 PM, where students and staff will have the opportunity to share "their story" through a variety of formats, including performances and spoken word.

Our PTO meeting has been moved to Thursday, February 13. Please join us in the Hayshire library at 6:00 PM. All are welcome!

Friday, February 14 is an early dismissal. Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM. President's Day is observed on Monday, February 17. There is no school for students and faculty.

Mark your calendar! Thursday, February 27 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM is our next Hayshire Family Night. Bring your books and a blanket to cuddle up and read with your family. There will be special guest readers. PTO will provide hot chocolate and treats! Don't forget to wear your pajamas!

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2025/2026 school year. We are excited to welcome upcoming Kindergartner to our Panther Family. Per District Policy, students must be five years of age on or before August 31, 2025 to be enrolled for Kindergarten. Kindergarten Registration will take place at Hayshire Elementary on Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15. You will select a 30 minute time slot. Your child should attend with you that day!

• Thursday, February 27 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM is our Read-A-Thon Family Night. Bring your books and a blanket to cuddle up and read with your family.
• Monday, March 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM is the Chipotle Fundraiser. 25% of event sales get donated to our Hayshire PTO!
• Discount Hershey Park Tickets will be available through our Hayshire PTO. See below.

Central York School District offers optional protection plans for your child’s District issued devices.

The protection plan fully covers your child’s device for any accidental damage that occurs. The cost is $25 per year for iPads and $60 per year for Macbooks.
