TIPS FOR STARTING SCHOOL
BELL SCHEDULE
COMMUNICATION
We send out newsletters and post information on Parent Square, the Dobie FB page and our Campus website. This information is linked to the email address and phone number that you provided when registering your student in Skyward (please keep this information current).
DRESS CODE
SKYWARD
Hello, SCUC Family,
The move from one Student Information System to another is a huge undertaking. As many of you are aware, the move from Ascender to Skyward has produced a number of unforeseen challenges. We are so grateful for your patience as we navigate the unexpected complexity of this transition.
Some of the unforeseen challenges we are actively working through:
- Correcting emergency contacts that came over to Skyward as guardians
- Correcting physical addresses connected to multiple families
- Correcting duplicate name records/accounts
Important Note
As a result, Skyward has temporarily closed Family Access due to a significant issue in their system
which is impacting returning SCUC families (e.g., students previously attended SCUC ISD in 2023-2024).
What does this mean?
- At this time, only new to SCUC families can register their child(ren).
- Returning students are already registered. All returning families will be required to verify (or re-verify) their data when the system reopens.
- If you are a returning SCUC family, all enrollment verification (and registration of a new student) is temporarily closed. Please do not create an additional account to register or verify enrollment
Other Digital Resources
Additionally, to ensure digital resources are ready for the start of the school year, the district has been testing Skyward integrations with class enrollment data. This troubleshooting period will help prevent delays in access for students and staff. As a result, ParentSquare, Schoology, and Classlink will likely show student schedules and teacher class rosters. Please note that this information is subject to change.

Thank you!

We value our partnership with our parents and guardians, and appreciate your understanding and continued patience with these updates to our systems.
As the start of school approaches, our teachers are excited, our campuses are ready to welcome all students, and we look forward to serving you and your students in the 2024-2025 school year!

💡 REMINDERS

- Skyward gives you 24/7 access to your students' attendance, assignment grades, and cycle grades. Please use the SCUC specific link, not Google
- Attendance changes can made within 7 calendar days of the absence only. Please allow 48-72 hours for absences to be corrected. Calling in a student's absence does not excuse the absence
Witness Statements and Parent Concern forms are available at our front desk to report concerns including on-campus bullying, cyberbullying, threats, and/or lost/stolen items. Forms are investigated in a timely manner by our Assistant Principals and SRO, if necessary
