2024 - 2025 Registration Intentions and Class Placement
As we look ahead to the 2024 - 2025 school year, we would like to know about your intentions for returning to Glen Loch Elementary for students currently in grades kindergarten through 3rd grade. Your response will help us as we plan for next year. Please fill out and submit the form below.
Proper student placement is a top priority at Glen Loch Elementary. Student class placement for the 2024 - 2025 school year will be decided by a committee made up of your child’s current teachers, our principal, assistant principals, counselor, and occasionally, the special education staff. We work very hard to match children’s learning styles and personalities with next year’s teachers. We examine the strengths and needs of each child as we strive to place each student in the environment in which he/she will be most successful.
Our placement committee will begin meeting in April. We continue to work on placement multiple times throughout the summer. Because of this, families will be notified of their child’s teachers the week before school begins in August. Once your child’s placement is complete, it is not possible to make changes, as this compromises the dynamics of the entire class. We work very hard to create just the right environment for each student.
If you have any concerns about your child’s placement that you would like the committee to consider, please share your concerns through the Google Form link below. Please do not email your concerns. This Google Form will be open until Friday, April 5th. This is a firm deadline as placement decisions will have already started. If a concern has been expressed in previous years, and you feel that it should still be considered, please share the information through the Google Form to ensure it is communicated to the placement committee. Please do not request specific teachers or make friend requests. Requests of this nature will not be considered. Class composition and learning/personality match are our top priority as we strive for the correct placement for each child.
We appreciate your help and support with this very important endeavor and request that you notify friends and neighbors who may overlook this information.
2024 - 2025 New Student Registration Coming Soon!
We Are Excited to Announce...
Conroe Independent School District has been named #37 on Forbes list of America's Best Large Employers. We are the only school district in the entire country to make the top 100! Thank you for making our school district such a great place to work. The Glen Loch staff was able to celebrate on their in service day with cake and coffee!
Pets on Campus
Parents, while we love seeing your furry companions, we do want to remind you that pets are not to be brought on school property. We do have students who are highly allergic to and/or are frightened of animals. This has been communicated in the Glen Loch Parent Information packet (on page 4) that went home at the beginning of the year or that you received upon enrollment. This can be found also on the homepage of our website.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Car Rider Dismissal Process
Please be sure you bring your green car rider/walker signs when picking up car riders or little walkers. Effective immediately, if you do not have the PHYSICAL green sign, you will be asked to park in the school's parking lot (in a spot) and go inside to the front office to get another sign (bring your drivers license in). Once that sign is reprinted, you will be asked to get back in the car rider line to pick up your student(s). Pictures of the sign will not be accepted, as we cannot guarantee it scans correctly (EVEN JUST ONE TIME).
Our number one goal during dismissal is to make sure EVERY student gets home safely and correctly. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding regarding this matter.
Student Cell Phone Policy
Just a reminder of our Student Cell Phone Policy at the Elementary Level in CISD.
- Cell phones and smartwatches may be used respectfully and responsibly before school and after school.
- Cell phones and smartwatches should not be used to capture video, audio, or images at school or on the bus.
- Cell phones and smartwatches should be set on silent mode and kept in backpacks and should not be visible during school hours including instructional time, reward time, free time, lunch, and in the hallways.
- Cell phones will not be delivered to students during the school day.
Proclamation 2024 Instructional Materials Adoption
Conroe ISD is seeking community feedback for the Proclamation 2024 Instructional Materials Adoption through April 5, 2024. Community members may review materials online or they may request to view the materials in person at the Conroe ISD Textbook Warehouse. More information is located on the CISD Instructional Materials website.

● Must be delivered to the clinic by the parent/guardian and signed in with the nurse.
● Must be in the original container and properly labeled for age-appropriate use (not expired)

Progress Reports, Reports Cards and Parent Access
Electronic progress reports and report cards for the remainder of the year will be available on Parent Access. If you have not signed up for a Parent Access account, please follow the steps below. If you need to add a student to your current account, there are directions for that as well!
Paper report cards will not be sent home.
How to sign up for Parent Access, 1st Student:
Go to ConroeISD.net/Parents/Students/Parent Access Center
Choose Register
Complete all fields, which includes your child’s student ID. This number was sent to you by email when you registered for school or it is on their last report card from last year. If you are unable to locate it, please contact us at ContactGlenLoch@ConroeISD.net and we can help you.
Once you have completed the application, it will let you know that it was successful and you will receive an email in 24 hours to set up your password. If any information is incorrect, it will let you know which field to correct.
How to sign up for Parent Access, if you already have an account set up for an older child:
Go to ConroeISD.net/Parents/Students/Parent Access Center

CISD Events
As volunteers for the 15th Annual Paint the Path Pink planning committee, we would like to introduce you to a cause near to our hearts. Each year for the past 14 years, Mitchell Intermediate School has organized a charity event called PAINT THE PATH PINK to raise money for breast cancer awareness and prevention services. Paint the Path Pink 2024 is a 5K run or walk along the scenic Woodlands walking paths near Mitchell Intermediate School. This year, our event is on April 13, 2024. 15 years ago, this event was inspired in response to two Mitchell teachers having spouses battling breast cancer simultaneously. Currently, we have two teachers battling breast cancer, who are current Mitchell employees. This event is a much-loved tradition our students and their families look forward to each year and really brings out the best in our students and community.
This year, our event will benefit The Rose Foundation, a respected breast cancer charity right here in the Houston community which helps women access critical breast cancer preventive care including screening mammograms, diagnostic care, and navigation in treatment, regardless of their ability to pay. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to The Rose Foundation. Mitchell Intermediate does not retain a dime of the proceeds, we are simply the organizers of this cause.
We are seeking sponsors and donations in order to underwrite the fixed costs of the event and raise money for The Rose Foundation. We are hopeful you will consider sponsoring or registering for our event. There are several sponsorship levels available. Sponsorship levels and benefits are outlined in the attached documents, and if you are willing, I have also provided you with a link to the registration and sponsorship links through The Rose. Our event typically draws between 300-400 Woodlands participants, including students, their families, and other local athletes. The advertising for the event reaches all 1200 5th and 6th grade students and their families and is typically covered by local media. Our event has a captive audience for your products and services.
Current 4th Grade parents might be interested in the silent auction items which will begin on April 10, 2024. The most popular item is 1st or 2nd in the Mitchell Car Rider Line!
Please feel free to contact me or our secretary Kelsey Drabek at 832-592-8500. We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this unique opportunity.
