Hello Dorr Families,
Tis the season for celebrations, tying up loose ends, and the anticipation of a fun summer ahead. As we embark upon our final days of school, please remember to stop and enjoy all the things. It will be summer before you know it!
Our 3rd Graders will be celebrating their time at Dorr Elementary with a host of fun activities the last week of school. A special thanks to Courtney Harding Realty brokered by Five Star Real Estate for donating cool sunglasses for each 3rd grader to rock on the playground while they are having fun in the sun!
One of the most anticipated events of the year is our Field Day! Mr. Weber is working hard creating fun games and activities for all to participate in. If you are able, we are still in need of volunteers. Please note: ALL volunteers must have an active background check on file. Click the link below if you need to submit one.
Hang on! We are almost to the finish line!
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Seniura

Distinguished Artist - Amelia Euwema
Dorr Elementary has a Distinguished Artist Program in which student artwork is on display like an art gallery for the school year. Each year 9 students are chosen as a Distinguished Artist. The distinguished artist is a student who is responsible in art, shows their creativity and works hard on all projects. Ms. Corcoran chooses 3 to 4 pieces of artwork in which the students followed directions and completed the project adding their creativity. A committee of staff members then votes on the projects to choose the winner.
Congratulations, Amelia Euwema!

1/4 & 1/2 Mile Fun Run
Mr. Weber hosted the 2nd annual 1/4 mile & 1/2 mile fun run. It was a beautiful day for our students to get out and stretch their legs. Everyone did a wonderful job! Thank you to our PTO for keeping us hydrated at the water station all day!

2nd Grade Makes Positive & Negative Art
Our second graders are learning about positive and negative space in art. They made some very creative art showing their knowledge.
Girls On The Run Give Back
One of our Girls On The Run teams recently learned the value of giving back. They made cards for our teachers thanking them for all they do for the students, and made bracelets for children at Helen Devos Children's Hospital.
