RHS National Honor Society
The RHS National Honor Society will be notifying all eligible current sophomores and juniors in in the first two weeks of February of their eligibility. Please watch your parent and student emails for these notifications.
These emails will contain all the important details about how to apply for NHS and the relevant deadlines. No late applications will be accepted, so it is imperative that eligible students address the information in the emails in a timely manner! The emails will be sent from the Counseling Office after semester grades are calculated and released. Eligibility will be determined by the semester grade point average.

Reedy PTSA
Now Accepting Spring PTSA Mini-Grant Applications
DEADLINE: February 22
The Reedy HS PTSA is now accepting applications for spring mini-grants. Any member of PTSA is eligible to apply for a mini-grant of up to $100. The grants may be used for supplies, curriculum, software and more. Students, teachers and parents are encouraged to apply.

Our First PTSA Mini-Grant Recipient!
RHS Librarian, Nancy Jo Lambert, was presented with a check for $189.95 for the purchase of a Design Thinking Pro Kit (to use with classes, clubs and organizations) and a Bloxels Starter Kit (to teach coding and digital storytelling).

Taking a CTE course next year?
Students interested in participating in one of the courses listed below next year MUST complete a CTEC Work-Based Learning Program Qualification form by Sunday, February 17. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be accepted.
Teacher recommendations are required for a complete application, so give ample time for the teacher to complete the recommendation. Do NOT wait until the last minute to start your application. Students must have the necessary pre-requisites in order to be eligible for the course. To verify pre-requisites, you can access the Course Catalog.

*ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED for students interested in taking Dual Credit courses during the 2019-20 school year
- We recommend both the student and parent attend the meeting in order to obtain all of the details for the enrollment and registration process
Students currently taking Dual Credit courses this school year do not need to attend the meeting
Please be on the lookout for emails and announcements about when the enrollment forms are ready in the Counseling Office

Independent Study & Mentorship (ISM)

ISM is an exciting, rigorous elective offered at Frisco ISD high schools, designed for high-achieving juniors or seniors. After an application and interview process to be considered for the course, students conduct research and interviews throughout the year on their chosen topic of study in order to select a mentor and gain real-world experience.

2019 Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit
Congratulations to Jerah Sonne for having her artwork selected to the 2019 Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit. Student art from 60 school districts will be exhibited in two Austin locations: Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum from March 3-17 and the Lower Rotunda at the State Capitol from March 24-31.
