FAITH ALLIANCE CHURCH

CONNECTION POINT NEWSLETTER
February 21, 2025
Greetings from Pastor John
We are a couple weeks in to our series called “Foundations” where we are looking at the foundations of the Christian faith. Last week we looked at the church in Acts 2, and this week (and next) we will be looking at Spiritual Disciplines. These are ways in which we orient our lives around the Living God. Either through prayer, worship, gathering, fasting, or others, we act in a way that is interactive with God.
This week we will be looking at the disciplines of Scripture, prayer, fasting and solitude.” The application will be to try something new to interact with God.
Also our annual meeting is after service this Sunday. Plan on sticking around as the church to talk about, pray, about, and agree on the vision and business for the year!

Family Discussion Starters
•How did Jesus prove He is alive?
•How do the stories of God’s faithfulness in the Bible help you trust in what you haven’t seen?
Because what the Scriptures teach about Jesus is trustworthy, we preach Jesus with complete confidence and unwavering boldness
• HEAD: How can you point your eyes back to the Lord when circumstances are stealing your peace?
• HEART: How can you praise God for how He pursues you and reveals Himself even in your doubts and fears?
• HANDS: What words or actions this week have revealed that you are a witness to Jesus our Lord?
Family Activities
Visit a museum or an exhibit with historical artifacts. Alternatively, visit an online virtual tour of a museum to view artifacts. Discuss how these artifacts provide evidence of people, places, and events in the past. Remind kids of the evidence we have in Scripture that prove Jesus is God’s Son and that He is alive.
