The Eagle's Nest
Week of April 15, 2024
Happy Sunday Eagle Families!
Our APEX fundraiser begins this week! Students and their classes will be competing against each other to see who can win the daily challenge and they'll be learning all about POWER, which is tied to great habits at home and at school. Look for your child's flyer to come home with their access code to create their account for pledges.
Please reach out to family and friends to sponsor your child, they can donate money per lap or make a one time donation. Our fun run will take place on Thursday, April 25. It's going to be a fun time on campus for the next two weeks for our students. We'll be using these funds for PBIS celebrations, student incentives and to continue our campus beautification. Teachers will also earn money to use towards resources in their classrooms. The more the teachers raise, the more money they earn for their class.
Last week was a great week to be an EAGLE! We continue to celebrate the month of the Military Child, students participated in their last club day for the year, and we inducted nine new members into the National Elementary Honor Society.
Looking ahead the next several weeks are going to be packed with activities as we start to wrap up our school year. Please take note of important dates listed at the bottom of the SMORE. May 6-10 is teacher/staff appreciation week and we want to show our staff how much we love them. We have planned a special themed day for them that includes small gifts, breakfast, lunch and treats. Be on the look out for how you can help with special days planned for our staff.
Important Reminders
1. Our Apex Fun Run begins. Look for your child to bring home the information to create their Apex account for people to make pledges.
2. This week we will be having a special Spirit Week to honor our military students and families. You will find the calendar for the week posted in the SMORE, on DOJO, and FB.
3. Please see the SMORE for details regarding our Child Abuse Awareness Project.
