2024 District Facilities Task Force
To ensure consistency and continuity in the process, we kindly ask committee members to commit to attending the following meetings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on May 21, June 4 and 18, July 23, August 6 and 20 and possibly into September if needed. We look forward to receiving your application and working together to create a brighter future for our students.

Student School Board Representative
The South St. Paul School Board is accepting applications from students entering grades 11 or 12 for the 2024-25 school year to be the next Student School Board Representative. The student chosen will act as a liaison between the student body/school and the SSP School Board. They will attend all regular meetings and provide the board updates on student life and share student input and opinions on topics discussed.
Application and application components must be completed and submitted no later than 11:59 pm April 19, 2024. Learn more about the Application Process on the Student School Board Representative webpage.

Pow Wow- Healing in Four Directions
VFW Memorial Day Parade
Memorial Day is May 27, 2024, and the parade takes place at 9:30 am with the ceremony following at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery. Information needed would be: Student’s name, Parent/Guardian’s name, Parent/Guardian’s military status, and active service or veteran. PACKER PRIDE IN ACTION
Youth Frontiers- Courage Retreat
7th graders spent a day with a group called Youth Frontiers. Youth Frontiers lessons are aimed at developing courage and to inspire students to do the right thing and make responsible decisions despite their fears. Thank you to the South St. Paul Educational Foundation for sponsoring the Youth Frontiers and making this day possible. Read more about the event here.
Learning About Wind
Lincoln Center first graders are learning about wind and weather. To demonstrate their learning they made their own pinwheels. The classes brought their pinwheels outside on a windy day to watch them work.
Kaposia PTA Reflections Winners
Congratulations to three Kaposia students who placed in the State Competition for the PTA Reflections art contest this year. The theme this year is “I am Hopeful Because…” Reflections is an opportunity for our students to explore and express themselves through visual arts, creative writing, original choreography, music composition, photography, and film.

Free Take 'n Bake Meals
South St. Paul Community Education has partnered with Kitchen Coalition, an initiative of Second Harvest Heartland, to offer free take ‘n bake family dinners. Meals serve around four people and are produced by local restaurants, caterers, and commercial kitchens.
Meals can be picked up Mondays after 3:00 pm and are available through Saturday at 2:00 pm while supplies last. Learn more and view this week's meals.
