From the Principal - Thanksgiving and Weather Reminder
Dear Saltar's Families,
Just a friendly reminder that Wednesday, November 27th will be an early dismissal day, with school closing at 12:10 PM. Please plan accordingly for pick-up and make any necessary adjustments to after-school care or transportation.
As the weather continues to change, we also want to remind all students to dress appropriately for the weather each day. Our students go outside for recess unless there is lightning, so it’s important they are prepared for all conditions—whether rain, snow, or cold temperatures. Please ensure that your child has warm clothing, including a jacket, gloves, and hat, so they can enjoy outdoor play safely and comfortably.

From the Attendance Office - Thanksgiving Break Attendance
Dear Families,
We are thankful for you!
As we prepare to take a short break for Thanksgiving, we want to express our gratitude for everyone
who has helped their student establish a routine for showing up to school, on time and ready to
learn. Daily routines are essential for reducing stress and creating a sense of security.
As long as your child is healthy, please encourage them to show up for class when school is
in session. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as connect to peers and their teachers.
We thank:
● Our students and their families for making daily attendance a priority.
● Our wonderful teachers who go above and beyond to help make school a welcoming learning environment where students can thrive.
● Our support staff, PTA and community volunteers who provide the extra hands and attention our students need.
An additional thank you to our families for making an effort to avoid taking extra days off during the
Thanksgiving holiday. Just a few missed days here and there, even excused absences, can add up to
too much lost learning time and leave your child behind in school.
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday on November 28th & 29th. If you plan on being out longer please click here for the Planned Absence Form and return it to the office as soon as possible. Forms must be completed in full prior to the first date of the absence.
We look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday, December 2nd.
Thank you for partnering with us!
Sincerely,
Rue Beyette
Attendance Secretary
From the Health Room - Fall/Winter Weather
As a reminder we are starting to see more rainy days, please make sure that your student dresses appropriately for the weather. Our health room is extremely limited in clothing and may not be able to provide a change of clothes. Students may keep a change of clothes in their backpacks, as needed.
Stay Safe & Healthy,
Bree Giovannini LPN

Saltar's Point PTA is hosting a movie night next Friday, 11/22. PTA will provide snacks and water, and families are encouraged to bring blankets or seating. Many families also bring their dinner for a picnic type meal during the show! Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the movie starts at 6 pm. Please note, this is not a drop off event. All students need to have an adult guardian remain on the premises for the duration of the event.
Help choose the movie that we will show by voting at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1iB1j0g_7MqmFbAGfGYU3oERL1pkgw2YUKZwvIWv0-bM/edit
