College Board Scam Targeting High School Families
Important: There is a College Board scam circulating our high school communities where callers posing as employees of the College Board contact students and families attempting to sell test preparation products or requesting sensitive personally identifying information, such as credit card and social security numbers. These calls do not come from College Board.
Please read this message from College Board regarding the situation.
Parking at GHS
All parking permits are sold out for the 2024-2025 school year. All those parked on campus without a valid parking permit will be ticketed and then booted. If you get a parking ticket you will lose parking privileges in the future, including next year. Please respect the parking situation and only park on campus if you have a valid GHS parking permit.
If you are needing parking options near GHS but not on campus, please have your student reach out to Mitch.
Veteran's Hygiene Kit Drive
Veterans have protected our country and kept us safe. Because they are here to protect us, a lot of veterans are dealing with mental health from these traumatic events. Some veterans are also experiencing homelessness, so we are asking you all to help with our donation drive. Please see the attached flyer for all the materials needed to donate to the veteran's hygiene kit.

We are only one-third of the way to being able to fund After-Prom. We desperately need your help to reach our goal!
Your generous donations will ensure that GHS Juniors and Seniors (and their guests) have a fun and safe night to celebrate.
DONATE (https://www.coloradogives.org/story/Ghspta-Afterprom2024)
Our biggest fundraiser for our school - from classroom learning to senior scholarships - is through our annual online auction. It is right around the corner and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Please view this list of community donors and select a few businesses to request auction donations either in person or via email (flyer). Using this working document "Community Auction Donor List", write your name beside the businesses you can solicit.
Do you know of a business not on the list that would be willing to donate to the online auction? Please add them to the working document and contact them at your convenience.
All auction donations need to be received by 3/28/25.
If you have any questions, email Amie Leigh Reece at auction@goldendemonspta.org.
Annual Jamie Wiggins Food Drive a Success
Jamie Wiggins, a GHS Boys Basketball parent and a Jefferson County teacher, started the food drive after she was diagnosed with cancer. She wanted to do something to benefit the community, and the GHS Basketball teams, alongside BGOLDN, has continued the annual food drive in her honor. This year, the Boys and Girls teams together collected over 2,700 items - which is the most food donated of any year! The 2,700 items weighed 640 lbs worth approximately $1,260.
Jason Wiggins was in attendance with his daughter, Megan, who graduated from GHS last year. He continues to be grateful that GHS and BGOLDN facilitate the Food Drive in his late wife's honor to benefit BGOLDN. Great job GHS Basketball teams and families!
Parents and students who stopped by the BGOLDN table were impressed by how BGOLDN has expanded, the work we do, and were grateful that our program works with the children/adolescents in our community to bring awareness of our underserved neighbors, students, peers, and families.
The Boys had some very interesting strategies to win at all levels - many shopped at Costco for the high number items in bulk. The GHS Boys team will have bragging rights for the next year, but the GHS Girls teams have vowed to beat them next year.
GHS Battle of the Bands
