Dear parents and carers.
This has been a very busy week with the appointment of our head boy and head girl. Congratulations to Bella and Ollie on your great candidate speech. I have to say that I filled up a lot that day and it was really difficult to make the final decision. All prospective candidates worked so hard on their speeches and delivered them beautifully – well done superstars!
This week saw the start of Young Voices club and what a club it was. They were so enthusiastic and I can’t wait to watch their progress as the weeks pass. Not just the singing but the moves!
This week also saw me sign up for an outdoor play programme that is going to make such a
difference to the wellbeing of our children. It isn't a quick fix and will take time to embed but to give you a taster of what is to come please check out https://outdoorplayandlearning.org.uk/parents/
We will be starting to collect resources for this and store them at school so we are ready to go once
we have had an initial audit – we’ll send a wish list as soon as we know more.
Thanks as always for your continued support. Have a wonderful weekend,
Mel Walmsley

Hello, we are this year's head pupils. Our names are Bella and Ollie, we’re both really excited to represent the school this year. This week, the whole school had their first yoga session, which they really enjoyed. There have been lots of new clubs starting around school this week and it’s been great to see so many children involved. Finally, this afternoon our new team captains were announced. Well done to everyone who was elected.
Head pupil awards go to Kieran (Y2) and Tom (Y3)

Well done to everyone who has worked hard at home to improve their maths skills. It is great to see how many children have already started to use either Numbots or TTR at home.
Remember that about 20 minutes spread out over the week will really help your child with their maths learning at school. For every 10 minutes that you practise you will get one raffle ticket entered into the box, the more times your name is in, the more likely you are to win!
Our Rockstars of the Week are Sam O'C, Harvey S, Tom G and Austin B. This week's Numbots Superstars are Jareign D, Isla H, Alfie W, Holly S-W, Hugo O, Jess S, Elin C, Alice H and Jermaine D. The raffle ticket winners are Oliver G and Hugo O. Well done everyone!
