I am so excited to see all of our Cosmos students and families next Monday night at Meet the Teacher!

I have missed the smiles, hugs and excitement of our Cosmos students being in the building and cannot wait for the new school year to start!

Parents will be notified via email on Monday August 12, 2024 by 1:00pm who their Cosmos' teacher is for the 24/25 school year! Please be on the lookout for that information & Please make sure your email address(es) are up to date in Home Access Center!

We will also have lists printed and support around the building on Monday evening to help assist those who may not have gotten the email.

We encourage our Cosmos families to begin your usual mode of transportation starting the first day of school; however we recognize that this might be the first time you and your child have been on campus and we will work with families to make allowances for the first day of school. When there is a need to change transportation for your student(s) please call the front office at 512.570.7800 by 1:30pm to make all transportation changes for the day or week.

We will be dismissing 10 minutes early for the first eight days of school (Aug. 14-23)

to assist in familiarizing and improving our processes and procedures with

dismissal for our new to Camacho staff, students and families!

***Ensuring the safety of all of our Cosmos staff, students and families is our #1 priority and with that in mind, starting Monday, August 19 will be Cosmos Independence Day.

Cosmos will walk themselves into the building and to their classrooms,

as we return to a closed campus during arrival and dismissal each day starting on this day.

Please be prepared to RAPTOR into the building for all events, activities, etc.

starting on this date also. Please remember to bring your photo ID into the building when visiting. We appreciate your understanding!***

If you have not yet scanned in your Driver's License for the 24/25 school year for our special events,

please come to the front office during business hours and we will get you all set up!

Leander ISD’s Transportation department has launched a new and improved website. The website includes content that features About Us, Bus Information, Frequently Asked Questions, Join Our Team, and more. Transportation asks campuses to update their Bus Information Links on their respective websites to the Bus Information link on Transportation’s website. For further information, please review Transportation’s formal communication and contact Tracie Franco if you have any questions.

Updates to the Leander ISD Bus System called SMART TAG:

• Parents can view exact GPS location of bus

• Students scan their SMART Tag upon entering the bus

The purpose of the Leander ISD volunteer program is to enrich the quality of education for the district’s students by providing opportunities for parents and community members to become actively involved in Leander ISD schools.

Anyone NEW to Leander ISD wishing to volunteer must complete a volunteer application and submit all required information to run a background check.

On PE days wear closed toe shoes!

Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on their PE days (see schedule for when their class has PE).

Tennis shoes need to be able to stay on the foot at all times preferably with Velcro or shoe laces.

No sandals, flip flops, crocs, boots, dress shoes are not recommended- student will still be required to participate.

Please ensure your student has a water bottle with a secured lid. NO Stanley cups will be allowed in the gym.
