Each year students in public schools across the state take the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA). Students in grades 3,4, and 5 will take the MCA in reading and mathematics online. Students in grade 5 will also take an online science test. The schedule is as follows:

Reading - April 16-19

Math April 23-26

Science for grade 5 only - April 30 & May 1

All 5th grade students will receive a yearbook at no cost this year thanks to the generous donation by the Morris Bye Parent Group. Thank you Morris Bye Parent group!

Yearbooks can be purchased online through AH-Connect or with an order form and exact cash. The cost is $8.00. Orders are due by May 12th. Order forms will be sent home in your child’s Wednesday folders March 6th. Checks will not be accepted.

Purchasing your child’s yearbook by May 12th will reserve their copy that will be distributed the last week of school. There will be a very limited supply of yearbooks to purchase on the last day of school for $10. They cannot be reserved; they are first come first serve.

Lifetouch spring picture day is Monday, April 8th. Fliers were sent home last Wednesday in your child's take home folder. All individual pictures will need to be pre-order online at mylifetouch.com. For individual pictures the picture day ID is EVTV82HW6.

Group classroom pictures will also be taken this day and to pre-order this special keepsake the picture day ID is EVTNP2PM4. The price is $10.

It's that time again! Each year artwork from two students in each class is selected to be exhibited in Anoka-Hennepin annual student art show. If your student is selected they will receive a letter and certificate. The art show runs from April 3rd - 10th and is on view in Northtown Mall, near the Becker Furniture Outlet. All are welcome to view the show during mall hours.

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month and we’d like to say THANK YOU to the AWESOME VOLUNTEERS who have contributed their time and talents to our school! You guys have put in nearly 900 hours of volunteer work so far this year!!! Good Job!!! You make the world a better place.

Our annual BINGO nights are here! Pre-register to come play BINGO on Thursday and/or Friday, April 25 & 26th. Doors open at 6, play begins at 6:30. Silent auction, raffles, and concessions will also be available.
