Dr. Carpenter's Monthly Message & Video Update!
Eagle Families,
During our back-to-school convocation event, I shared with our Eagle staff that visibility, accessibility, and approachability were key components of a leader’s success. We talked about the importance of “honoring the past while creating the future” and that to be the leader expected in Argyle ISD, I must lead with a long-term, productive mindset to prepare for the future.
To follow through with those message points and beliefs on staff engagement, the past few weeks have been full of opportunities on campuses to see our Eagles in action. A few of those opportunities include:
Lunch & Learns: Small group lunch meetings with teachers and staff building relationships, learning why they LOVE Argyle ISD, and the challenges they face on a daily basis. Sharing a meal together reminds me of the importance that time brings to any family. Listening tours are critical to continuing our successes and soaring higher together!
Walkin’ in the Eagle Zone: Our Board of Trustees has been eager to see the amazing experiences happening at our campuses. This month, we conducted “Board Walks.” I have had the honor of taking small groups of Trustees to campuses to see our Eagles in action and visit with our teachers. This has been such an inspiring experience!
Soaring Star Award: Rewarding great work is paramount to the culture of any organization. The Soaring Star Award celebrates the incredible contributions of Argyle ISD employees each month who continually strive to make a difference in the lives of our students and community. Together, we can acknowledge and honor those who make Argyle ISD an exceptional place to learn and grow. We strive to recognize those Eagles who exemplify excellence, respectful relationships, honest communication, security, and kindness. Hopefully, you’ve seen our Soaring Star Award Nomination process in our district communications! Please consider nominating a staff member for this month’s Soaring Star Award.
