Message from the Principal
Our Ohio State Test testing season begins this week! We are excited as we have been preparing diligently throughout the year to learn the skills students will have the chance to demonstrate on the test. We ask that you are sure to have your students to school on time on Tuesday and Wednesday, having had a good night's sleep.
We encourage all of our students to simply do their best. We know that will be good enough. Please reassure your student that taking time, working through the problems, and trying will be enough! Thank you for all of your support as we begin this season of the year.
Our testing schedule this year is:
- April 1 and 2 for 5th/6th Grades Language Arts
- April 8 and 9 for 5th/6th Grades Math
- April 15 and 16 for 5th Grade Science
Please try to avoid any absences on those days. We will be testing in the mornings.
It is essential that students have headphones for the testing. Please double check with your student to ensure he/she has a pair at school that is working well. Thank you!
Congratulations to all of our 3rd quarter Honor Roll recipients! We know that the transition form elementary to Ike has many changes, including letter grades. Students are navigating the grading changes well and we have many honorees this quarter. Great job, all! Please see the Honor Roll lists below.
Please see some pictures below of our Hoedown!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Tim Holcombe

Attendance Matters!
Attending school regularly is especially important during the next few weeks as students prepare for and take state tests. Teachers are providing targeted lessons, practice opportunities, and valuable feedback to help students feel confident and perform their best. Missing school means losing out on these essential learning experiences and test-taking strategies. Regular attendance allows students to stay engaged and fully benefit from their test preparation!
Congratulations to the following students who proved Attendance Matters through staying in the Green on their charts: Jude Chavez, Brandon Gray, Kathryn Schoviak, Carter Stewart, Addison Tiell, Jack Urbanski
