Hello Everyone!
The results are in! The “2025" Middle School Essay Contest”, proudly sponsored by the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center, is now
history! The winner, runner ups and honorable mentions were chosen from scores of entries from around the region.
Congratulations! The quality of the entries and the number of essays submitted this year were outstanding! Kudos to all essay participants!
The contest was open to all Middle School students from The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin. Center staff read and evaluated all essays and selected the winning essay. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize. The Runner-ups and honorable mentions will receive a prize package. This year the Center asked students:
"Create your vision of the museumof the future. What kinds of museums would you like to visit or perhaps, what type of museum do you think needs to be built that doesn’t currently exist? What kind of exhibits would make you excited to visit a museum?
This year we received over 50 essays from 6 schools in the region and are proud to announce the following 2025 Middle School Essay Contest Winners!
