Message from the Principal
Dear John Glenn Families,
We are looking forward to our school-wide assembly this afternoon, where we will celebrate our accomplishments together as a Glenn family! We will celebrate our 1st Trimester Lancer Leaders, spelling bee participants, student council members, our successful food drive, free throw contest participants, Inktober artists, and all students who brought extracurricular awards to celebrate! During our assemblies we also learn and practice good flag etiquette and respectful, responsible, safe behavior.
Thursday is our 3rd-6th grade music performance and we look forward to seeing families at the high school auditorium for the show - the doors unlock at 6:00 and the show begins at 6:30. Please drop your student off by 6:10 pm the night of the concert in the high school commons. The performance will also be livestreamed for those unable to make it to the event. The link will be sent out and posted to Facebook next week.
Blue Grandparents Day Food Tickets with money are due to the office no later than Friday, November 22nd. We are still in need of volunteers for the event - we could use help setting up the night before and also throughout the event. Please sign up here: Grandparents Day Volunteer Sign-Up.
As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child is bringing appropriate outdoor gear for recess. It's very windy on our playground and the kids get cold quickly! If you are in need of a coat, hat, gloves, etc. for your child, please contact nurse Jess Gronewold, counselor Tracy Helton, or me so we can get you whatever you need!
I hope you have a great weekend. As always, please reach out with questions or concerns. Go Glenn!
Sincerely,
Erin Paysen

November & December Newsletter from our Counselor
Please read Mrs. Helton's November & December Newsletter, which includes important information about the personal safety unit students are engaging in during Guidance lessons this month and next. When families are able to use common language and reinforce these concepts at home, it helps students transfer their learning and internalize it.
