All Saints' Day, celebrated on November 1, is considered a Holy Day of Obligation in the Catholic Church because it honors all the saints—both known and unknown—who have attained Heaven. This day is dedicated to celebrating the lives and legacies of these saints and serves as a reminder of the universal call to holiness that every Christian is called to follow.

The Annual Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:00 a, pm Saturday, November 2, at St. Aloysius Church in Calmar. Families will present a lighted candle in memory of their decease loved ones during this service. Please plan to join us as we remember all those in our four parishes who have died in the past year.

Students can pick up gently used books for a free-will donation in the Ossian school library from November 4-7. All proceeds will go towards purchasing saint books for the Ossian and Spillville libraries. The Scholastic Book Fair will return for the Spring Conference.

Looking for a quick and easy dinner? St. Teresa of Calcutta School is offering half-baked Mabe's pizzas for pick-up on Monday, Nov. 4, and Wednesday, Nov. 6, during conferences! Choose from large (16") single-topping pizzas (sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, or cheese) for $20, or go for a regular (sausage & pepperoni) for $22. To place an order, reply to our facebook post or call the school offices—Penny in Ossian at 532-9353 or Heather/Brittany in Spillville at 563-3617—by the end of the school day on Friday, Nov. 1.
