Holiday Break
Career Hours
We have a number of level 3 students who have still not submitted their Career Education 2202 volunteer hours. Students do not graduate unless this requirement is completed.
The completed sheet with a record of all 30 hours must be passed into Mr. Keough at the main office. A copy of the recording sheet can be found here.
If you are unsure if your hours have been submitted, please view your transcript on PowerSchool. If there is an “H” next to Career Development, then your hours are not submitted.
Lost Clothing and Water Bottles
There is an accumulating inventory of clothes and water bottles outside the gym doors and in the Vikings Vault. Any clothes or water bottles that are left before the Christmas Break, starting December 20th, will be taken and donated to a local charity organization. If anyone, student, parent, volunteer, coach, etc., are missing or have misplaced clothing or a water bottle, please ensure that they are reclaimed before Friday, December 20th.
Historic Sites Association of NL Ambassador Program
Please find the following opportunity from the Historic Sites Association for students in grades 7 to Level 3.
From June 27th to July 7th, 2025, the Historic Sites Association of NL and its
partners are taking 100 students from across Newfoundland and Labrador
on the trip of a lifetime. They’ll head to France and Belgium to participate in
a First World War battlefield tour, visiting significant sites where the Royal
Newfoundland Regiment fought. AND they’ll spend time in the five
communities that are home to the Newfoundland Regiment’s bronze caribou
monuments.
The deadline is January 26, 2025. If you have any questions, email atbrand@historicsites.ca or call 709-631-0464. For more information please see here.
