If your child is entering kindergarten through 12th grade next year and will be a bus rider, you should have received an email about busing for the 2025-26 school year. Please read the email(s) carefully, as you will receive a personalized email for each student in your family with specific instructions. Detailed instructions for registration are also available at mvpschools.org/transportation.

If you did not receive an email (check your spam folder) or have any questions, contact the Transportation Department at 651-621-6027 or transportation@mvpschools.org. Students receiving special education services or those enrolled in Early Childhood programs will receive busing information at a later date.

If you forgot to order a yearbook, we will have a very limited number for sale. These will be sold on a first come, first serve basis on Tue, June 3. However, you can also order one on-line by using this link. The cost is $24 on-line and will be shipped to your house.

The district has changed our process for background checks for volunteers. We will be doing them every year starting this fall. Add this to your TO DO list for your back-to-school prep. The documents are here. We need those documents plus a copy of your driver's license every year. We won't be accepting new background checks until after August 1.

Thanks to a federal program, free lunch meals for all students 18 years and under will be available July 7 to July 31, Mondays through Thursdays, at the following locations. Meal needs to be consumed on-site.

• Pinewood Elementary School, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Pike Lake Education Center, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

• Use the food maps provided by Ramsey County
• Call the Minnesota Food Helpline at 888-711-1151

If your student is graduating, leaving the school district, or you would like a refund for the funds in your students nutrition account, Please fill out this Nutrition Account Request form by June 16.

• Please indicate on the form if you would like a refund check mailed to you, the funds transferred to a sibling or donated to the Angel Fund.
• If your student's fund balance is less than $5 and you would like a refund, please email nutritionservices@mvpschools.org
• Turn off Auto-Pay in your LINQ Connect account if you set-up Auto-Pay for your student's nutrition account.

Help the kids have a blast on one of their last elementary school days! Assist kids with activity stations as well as set up/clean up. If unable to volunteer the whole time, put your availability in a comment. Sign up here: Valentine Hills PTO: 5th grade Party 2025. The 5th grade clapout will be at 3:50 p.m. on the last day of school. Parents should line up outside on the sidewalk out front.

Opportunity to Support Our Staff Through a Wishlist

We are excited to share the Amazon Wishlist we are hosting on behalf of the Valentine Hills Staff!. This will be an evergreen list that staff will continue to add to as their needs change and we will share it throughout the year. Each item will have a teacher or staff member's name and urgency listed next to it. There is obviously no obligation at all but we are just excited to help support staff in any extra way we can. If you choose to order an item, we ask that you please add the staff member's name in the gift message to help get it to the correct person.

Fall Fundraiser Committee Volunteers Needed

Help us raise the money the PTO needs to make all our initiatives and events happen. We can't do it without help! Roles needed are:
