Bulldog Blast

Note From Principal Pautler
Greetings Bulldogs ~
What an interesting week this was. I want to thank you all again for having patience as we checked out near a thousand kids on Thursday. And that's just the kids we had communication from home on. If you would have been in the building at dismissal on Thursday - it was a ghost town for sure. I might have witnessed a tumbleweed blowing through the halls. It does always make me nervous when we have so many new drivers out on the road. Hopefully, you had a moment to connect with your student with tips and tricks on how to drive on snow. I moved to Oklahoma from Northern Indiana about 15 years ago and our roads up there were snow covered from this time until about March so I sometimes forget what it's like to not have experience driving in less than ideal conditions. We also had several students who experienced their first snow on Thursday. In a school this large that serves students who have moved here from all different locations - it's fun to see the look in the eyes of a person experiencing their first snow.
In the coming weeks, we will begin the course selection process for 25/26. It's hard to believe that it's that time already! We naturally begin rolling information out to our incoming freshman students first. If you have an 8th grader at Cimarron, Central, or Oakdale - they will connect with EMHS starting in a little over a week. Our current students will follow that shortly with all course requests being completed before spring break.
On Monday night, we will host an "AP" night. Information is below! We hope to see students and families who are interested in AP courses come out and hear from current educators who teach AP. This is designed to give you the information you need to make choices during the course request process. Again, see the information below.
We'll see you back here face to face on Monday!
