Korean Field Trip
Korean 4 and Honors/IB students had an exciting cultural experience during their recent
field trip to the LA Korean Education Center.
They participated in Samulnori, learning to play four traditional Korean percussion
instruments while incorporating rhythmic dance movements. They also explored
traditional Korean folk painting, decorating hand mirrors with vibrant flowers and
butterflies, deepening their appreciation for the beauty of Korean art.
The day concluded with a visit to a Korean market, where students enjoyed delicious
Korean food and had the chance to practice their language skills in a real-world setting.
This field trip provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with Korean
culture, music, and art while enhancing their language abilities in a fun and immersive
way.
