Principal's Message
Happy Friday Hoffman Families!
There is a positive buzz (pun intended) around Hoffman as students settle into the school year! I am really enjoying getting to know students throughout the day, particularly during lunch and recess when they are more able to chat.
I am planning on sending out the this newsletter, the Hoffman Hum, every other Friday. We take turns sending out newsletters with Henking so that families with students at both schools aren't overwhelmed with emails.
I can already tell it is going to be a great year!
Luke Larmee
Hoffman School Principal
Safety Reminders
- Traffic Pattern - Please make sure you follow the traffic pattern. We've had a few cars going the wrong way through our parking lot which causes challenges and safety concerns.
- Low Speed - When driving in our parking lot, please make sure that you are at a reduced speed (10 mph).
- Passenger Side Exiting - If it is possible, please have students exit vehicles on the passenger side. When students step out of cars on the driver side, they are standing in our parking lot with other vehicles going by. I understand that some families have car seats on the passenger side so this isn't always possible.
- No Students in the Parking Lot - Please remind students that they should not cut through our parking lot when walking to or from Harrison St. We would like all students to stick to sidewalks to avoid walking through our drop off and pick up traffic.
Thank you for your help with this,
Luke Larmee

P.E. Reminders
Hoffman PE reminders for a successful school year
Welcome to another exciting school year at Hoffman! We (Drew Russell, Mike Verzani, and Alex Wade) are thrilled to have your child in our PE program, where we strive to make fitness fun, promote lifelong healthy habits, and help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to lead active lives.
As we begin the year, we want to highlight a few important points to ensure that your child has a successful and safe experience in PE class.
Proper Footwear: Gym shoes are required daily. They are able to change out of them once class is over but necessary every day for a safer experience. We encourage bringing extra socks in case the grass is wet during some of the morning classes.
Participation and Excuses: If your child is unable to participate, a note from a parent or guardian will be required. For extended absences, a Dr. note will be required. We want to ensure that all students are safe and receive the care they need so your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Communication and Updates: We value open communication with parents and encourage you to reach out with any concerns or questions about your child’s participation in PE. If there are any specific needs or accommodations that your child requires, please do not hesitate to inform us.
Save the Date: We are also hoping to invite parents in for a special event during the school day the second week of December during your child’s PE time. More information will be communicated later.
