Spirit Night at Old Fountain Tavern, Wednesday, March 13th from 5:30-9:30pm
Take the family out to dinner during the above hours at Old Fountain Tavern on March 13th for a fun filled night of your favorite tunes! A portion of all proceeds from the night will be donated to our PTA. Music Bingo will also be going on starting at 7:30 and is free to play! Grab your friends, enjoy dinner, win prizes and join us for a fun night out!
In a continuation of our celebration of Exceptional Children's Week, we invite all of our PMES students to also celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with us on Thursday, March 21st by wearing their favorite pair of CRAZY SOCKS! Every year on March 21st, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks.
Why March 21st? People with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome.
Why do we wear socks to celebrate? In a karyotype (close up picture of chromosomes), the chromosomes kind of look like colorful socks with stripes and patterns.
As part of our Exceptional Children's Week celebration, we have provided coloring pages at the link below. We would love our students to print their favorite page, color it, and bring it to school to be hung by our Inclusivity Pledge which will be displayed in our front lobby during the week of 3/11. You can access the coloring pages at the link below.
Completed coloring pages can be turned in to your child's teacher or to the front desk.

GOT SNEAKERS? CAMPAIGN IS COMING SOON!
Clean out your closets and donate your used athletic shoes to PMES!
Our Got Sneakers? Campaign will kick off Monday, March 11th! Collection bins will be set out in the hallway near the nurse's office to accept donations of well-worn athletic shoes. PMES will donate all shoes brought in to our partner, Got Sneakers? All reusable sneakers from our sneaker drive fundraiser are recirculated to secondhand markets so people can access quality, pre-owned footwear at affordable prices. All heavily used and damaged footwear is recycled to reuse materials or to convert waste into energy.
Collections will be held March 11th through April 12th.
We will hold a friendly competition between grade levels to see who can donate the most shoes. Each Thursday, we will gather up the collections and post the standings right here on Facebook. The winning grade level will receive a popsicle party! 🏆🎉
All compensation we receive from Got Sneakers? will go toward the PMES PE program.

Calling all Dads! Our Dads on Duty breakfast will be held Tuesday, March 19th and Thursday, March 21st. This event is not grade specific, so feel free to come either day that works best for your family.
Grab your pre-ordered Chick-fil-a breakfast and hear from retired mixed martial artist, former UFC fighter, and PMES dad, Dhiego Lima! Dhiego is the current owner of a local MMA gym, American Top Team-Team Lima alongside his brother, Douglas. He is also the proud parent of a PMES 3rd grader and uncle to a 4th and 5th grader.
Doors will open at 7am. Breakfast is $7 and will include a Chick-fil-a biscuit and your choice of coffee, orange juice or water. The event is free to attend, but all food is PRE-ORDER ONLY and will not be sold at the event. Deadline to order CFA breakfast is 5pm on Monday, March 18th. School breakfast will also be available beginning at 7:45. Breakfast will conclude at 7:45 so kiddos can start the school day.
