Your connection to all things in GCPS...
Your connection to all things GCPS. | May 16, 2024
Each month of the 2023-24 school year, we will spotlight one of our strategic priorities or Portrait of a Graduate competencies by sharing the stories of two clusters—highlighting their classrooms, notable events, community insights, achievements, community service projects, student organizations, volunteer efforts, and more.
Communication
GCPS students and staff listen actively to understand information, values, attitudes, and intentions. They articulate thoughts and ideas effectively using oral, written, and nonverbal communication skills; with the goal of being informative and clear about their purpose, and responsive and respectful of their audience.
In May, we focus on Communication in the Archer and Central Gwinnett clusters.

Annual Parent Involvement Survey for Families of Students with Disabilities
Each year, each state is required to conduct a parent survey involving families of students who are receiving special education services. The survey is designed to measure parent/family perceptions of the success of parent engagement between home and local schools. This survey is available through May 31, and we encourage parents to complete the survey via the survey link below. Thank you to those who have already completed the survey! Please use this link to access the survey.
Mental Health Awareness Month
Mental Health Awareness Month is observed in the U.S. every May to raise awareness of the challenges and tools available to address mental health issues. We can raise awareness in our community by spreading the word and promoting advocacy. To learn more about how you can get involved, click here.
