Dear Parents and Carers
As we head towards mid-term and the weather starts warming up, we have been noticing that the children have been a little more impatient with one another, often due to tiredness. We still have another 5 weeks left before the end of the school year and they are busy weeks with final assessments, swimming lessons, ‘move up morning’ where students meet their teachers for 2025, Year 6 graduation, Kindy induction and the Christmas Carols concert to name a few events on our calendar.
You can help your child be at their very best to handle the busyness of the end of year activities by ensuring that they are having adequate sleep each night, eating healthy school lunches and have a large drink bottle filled with cold water to stay hydrated in the hot weather.
ACM
On Monday evening we hold our Annual Community Meeting in our undercover area at 7pm. We invite all families/carers to attend. Every family in attendance can put their name into a draw to receive one of eight $75 booklist prizes.
Pupil Free Day Friday 8th of November
A reminder to families that next Friday is a pupil free day.
Uniform
A reminder to families that next year is the last year that students will be permitted to wear the old school uniform. Most of our students are now in the new school uniform. Nell Grey, our uniform supplier, will fit your child with our new school uniform when you are ready to make the purchase.
Leaving the School
We are in the process of sorting class lists for next year. If your child is not going to be at our school in 2025, can you please let our front office know as soon as possible. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.
Early Years Drop Off and Pick Up
A reminder that children in Kindy and Pre-Primary can not be dropped off or picked up by their siblings. Parents/carers are asked to please wait with their children outside the classroom until the classroom opens.
Universal Children’s Day
Next week we celebrate Universal Children’s Day on Thursday. This is one of our favourite days of the year when we celebrate the rich tapestry of our multicultural school community. Children can wear outfits and bring a plate of food to share with their peers from their cultural heritage.
All Saints and All Souls Day – November 1 and 2
All Saints Day is a feast day observing the lives of the many saints for whom there is no specific feast day during the year. All Souls Day is a time to remember those who have died and as a school community we remember and pray for all families who have lost loved ones.
God bless you.
