HCCS First Annual Talent Night - so much fun!
We had such a great turnout for our FIRST Annual HCCS Talent Night! The HCCS Honor Choir organized this fun event and took care of all the details! Way to go Honor Choir! From Mariachi to dancing, stand up comedy to tumbling, piano, vocal and cello solos and duets to soccer dribbling, and lots of amazing acts in between! The People's Choice Award went to Carlos and Fernando Quintanilla for their amazing vocal duet. The Judges' Grand Prize Award went to Kenely Segura and the Mariachi band----wow, they blew us away! Our fantastic judges---Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Abad, and Mr. Olmos, had a difficult decision to make in selecting a winner from all of these amazingly talented acts. HCCS Honor Choir presented the floor show with an amazing Disney Dazzle medley. The PTSO and parents generously donated delicious desserts for our fundraiser. Special thanks to Mr. Hoy for help with sound and all the tech stuff, PTSO for serving and Mrs. Mullanix and Mrs. Leonardo for help with managing the event. Thank you so much for your support! See you next year!
Here We Have Idaho! - Fourth Grade Program
Fourth graders danced, sang and played their way through Idaho history on March 7. Speakers provided a history of how Idaho became a state from Lewis and Clark to the founding of Boise as the state capital. The Fourth graders played a few cowboy songs on their ukuleles, danced a few folk dances, sang the state song, recited the 44 counties of Idaho to "We will Rock You" and the 4th grade After School Strings ensemble played the fiddle tune "Bile them Cabbage down" featuring a few soloists. All in all, it was a fun evening for these 'settlers'! Thanks to Mrs. Williams for the fantastic decorations, Mr. Hoy for all his help with all things to do with sound, Mr. Tams, Mrs. Leonardo, Mrs. Mullanix and Mrs. Daniel for help with set up and clean up.
Sasha! - Russian folk dance (early Germanic Russian settlers)

HCCS has a NEW PIANO! - Thank you PTSO and Mrs. Roberts!
The PTSO generously donated money to the music department to purchase a piano that can be used in the classroom and for performances in the gym. This piano has been well loved and has a lovely bright tone. Because the previous owner fitted it with a piano trolley, it is easily moved from the classroom to the gym by our students. Thank you to Jeff Roberts and his crew for moving the piano to our building! We are so grateful for all of your support and for the PTSO helping us fulfill our dream of having a real piano for performances!

District III includes schools from Parma to Nampa. Hundreds of students from all over the valley participated on Saturday.
