St. John Eagle Edition
September 6th, 2024
A note from Mrs. Goetsch...
It is with an over-abundance of gratitude that I say "THANK YOU" for making me feel so welcome as I begin this servant-leadership journey with the families and members at St. John Church and School. It has not taken me long to understand why the school has been answering God's call for over 100 years to guide students to learn about the love Jesus and the grace He shows all of us in our daily lives.
Please take time to read through this newsletter to ensure you have all of the information you need to stay informed and involved in your child(ren)'s learning journey here at St. John School.

ENDURE
Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted
Chapel Offering is taken each week
Semester 1 donations will go to support "Share Your Holiday" Drive
CHANGE in End of Day Pick Up Process
Watch your email and text message for an invitation
If you have not already joined the St. John School or your child's teacher Remind 101 class, watch for an invite to join both groups and PTL. This is a very effective, efficient, and important communication tool used to send out:
- Quick Reminders
- "Need to Know" information
- Event reminders and volunteer needs
- School cancellations or delays
This is a really great communication tool, so we really need 100% of our families connected to the Remind 101 app to ensure we are all staying informed about the day-to-day things and those great opportunities for our students and families throughout the school year.
Important Reminders
Lunch Reminders
Thank you for taking the time to pack cold lunches for your child(ren) each day. We are seeing kids enjoying having the time to eat and visit with friends during our lunch time.
A few reminders about the use of the microwaves:
- Only students in Grades 2-8 are allowed to use the microwaves
- Please make sure food is in a microwavable container
- Styrofoam really should not be placed in the microwave - too many chemicals
- Practice at home on how to read the label so students are learning how long to place food in the microwave.
