Washington - Caldwell Parent Update

Hello Bulldog Families,

We have successfully completed the 2023-24 school year. I am so proud of our students for the hard work they put in, as well as the positive attitudes they bring to their learning. While it isn't always easy, our students have shown perseverance this year. I can say the same for our staff. We have an incredibly caring, knowledgeable and committed staff that puts children first. I also want to acknowledge our families. Your support, in a multitude of ways, is critical to the success of our district. Thank you for believing in Washington-Caldwell!

I want to give a special thank you to the Washington-Caldwell PTO. The PTO organized and put on the end-of-year carnival on Wednesday and it went very well. It was a day of fun and laughter for both kids and adults. Thank you PTO! All Star Rentals provided the bouncy house, ax-throwing and the obstacle course as part of the day’s activities. Thank you All Star Rentals! I also want to thank all the volunteers who helped at the carnival. We are not able to do these fun events for our students without your help. Thank you!

As we enter summer break, please know that we will continue to grow and improve as we move toward the 2024-25 school year. I will be working throughout the summer so if you need to contact me for any reason, please do so via email, as this will be the most effective means to communicate.

As you may have noticed, work on the building started right away on Thursday, June 6. We are excited to see this work begin! Watch Facebook over the Summer for Referendum Building Updates!

Families can now order school supply kits for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a super easy way to handle this tedious task. You can order very quickly at http://www.shopttkits.com/ - use school code 23989. Order online by June 14. Kits will be delivered to school prior to Meet and Greet in August.

Will you need Y-Base before or after school care next school year for your student(s)? We know it is a busy summer, but it would be helpful for you to register with Mukwonago YMCA as soon as possible.

Wrap Care is available for 4K students in the afternoon from 11:30-3:40pm - early registration for this is critical as well.

The Racine Zoo has a few exciting opportunities for students and families this summer, especially for those looking for a fun, educational, and entertaining environment. Also, Waterford Wave club tryouts (run by Ashley Ingish, the WUHS varsity coach) will be in the summer this year. They are working through dates/times but it will likely be the weekend of July 20-21. If anyone is interested in the 13s or 14s team (incoming 6th-8th graders) contact Ashley ashleyingish1@gmail.com and she will get you more information as it gets closer!
