Marching into Spring

It’s that time of year again—spring break is just around the corner, and we're even seeing temperatures in the 70s today! These sunny, warm days are a welcome change as we leave winter behind, but we all know this time of year can be a tough stretch, especially as we transition between the end of one school year and preparations for the next.

But despite the challenges, there's so much to look forward to! We've already had a busy few weeks filled with fun activities, events, and celebrations that showcase the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and community. From sports to musical performances to McTeacher nights and everything in between, there's something for everyone.

We encourage you to stay connected to all the exciting opportunities this season brings. Let’s march into spring together, making the most of these last few months of the school year and looking forward to all the great things ahead!

We have several avenues to stay connected and get the most up-to-date information

  • Our website is regularly updated with important announcements, event calendars, and resources for families. Highlights:
    • Photo Galleries
    • Our Community Wall showcases events happening within the community, including soccer tryouts, Cub Scouts info, summer camps and more!
    • School Calendar *2025-2026 posted*
  • You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and X to stay in the loop on school happenings, celebrations, and community engagement opportunities.
  • On LinkedIn, we showcase staff and available positions around the district.
  • Our YouTube Page houses board meetings, live stream events, concerts, monthly recap videos, etc.

  • Newsletters are sent out at the beginning of each month from building principals (Euclid, Indian Grove, Prairie Trails, and River Trails Middle School) and mid-month by the district office.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone around the district this spring!

On Thursday, March 6, River Trails Middle School held their annual Fuel Up Day. Take a look at some of the activities that students were able to participate in!

We want your opinion!

We need your input! If you have not done so already, please participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Parent and Guardian Survey. Your responses will remain confidential and will not be connected to the identity of you or your child.

Survey results will help us to better understand the conditions at your child’s school and to guide improvement. For the survey to be validated, we need at least 20% of our parents to take the survey.

Visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ to participate. Thank you for your support!

2025-2026 School Year Registration

Registration for all students is now open.

Access your PowerSchool account and locate the appropriate forms to begin registration.
