Regeneron Science Talent Search November 7, 2024

Description :
Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science competition for high school seniors, providing an important forum for original research that is recognized and reviewed by a national jury of professional scientists. Alumni have made extraordinary contributions to science and have earned many of the world’s most distinguished science and math honors, including thirteen Nobel Prizes. Annually, nearly 2,000 high school seniors from around the country accept the challenge of conducting independent science, math or engineering research and completing an entry for the Regeneron Science Talent Search. The competition recognizes 300 student scholars and their schools each year and invites 40 student finalists to Washington, D.C. to participate in final judging, display their work to the public, and meet with notable scientists and government leaders. Each year, Regeneron STS scholars and finalists compete for $3.1 million in awards.

Elks - Most Valuable Student Scholarship Competition November 12, 2024

Description :
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2025 competition. Male and female students compete separately.
Ranging from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.

Texas PTA HS Scholarship November 15, 2024

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from a school in the state of Texas.
• Applicant must be enrolled in a high school with a Local PTA/PTSA that
has achieved Active Status by December 1.
• Applicant must be a current member of the PTA by December 1 at
their enrolled campus. Note: PTA membership is a renewable, annual
membership. The current membership year begins August 1.
• Applicant must plan to be enrolled full-time in an accredited college,
university, or technical institute in the summer or fall/spring semester

The Congressional Essay Contest is run by NSCDA Corporate Societies and Town Committees across the United States.
Freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year high school students submit essays that are then judged and awarded. Students must be 16 or older to participate in the Congressional Seminar.
The essay topic changes annually. For this year’s contest (2023-2024) the NSCDA asks students to answer the prompt:
“Why did the nation’s founders choose a government with separated powers rather than a parliamentary system?”
Winners receive full tuition and travel to the Washington Workshops “Congressional Seminar,” a civic-focused adventure in our nation’s capital.
