BUS INFORMATION: the busses will be in front of TU on Monday April 22nd BRIGHT AND EARLY at 4:30am (yes, you read that correctly).
The busses will pick us up from Newark Airport on Saturday April 27th at 6:15pm and bring us back to the front of TU. Your child will communicate with you that day to keep you updated on our ETA at TU.
ATTIRE: We have purchased the matching dresses and dress shirts for the students, but we are asking that anyone wearing pants either purchase them from this link (color: Khaki Brown) or use something they already own that looks exactly like this. People wearing dresses will wear black character shoes and people wearing pants will wear black jazz shoes. All students are responsible for transporting their own costumes in their luggage.
AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSALS: It is looking likely that we will need to hold a couple of after school rehearsals before we head to FL. Please keep Thursday April 18th (3-6pm) and Friday April 19th (3-6pm) open.
Current Senior Curriculum
ACTING AND VOCAL: We are VERY close to the Disney performance, so at home you should expect your child to be regularly rehearsing the ensemble pieces for this production.
Seniors will be filling out a Daily Intention Log for in-class rehearsals, which will be graded at the completion of this event. This keeps students on task and accountable for their own time and growth.

UPCOMING FOR SOPHOMORE MT
Current Sophomore Curriculum
ACTING AND VOCAL: We've spent the last few weeks choosing and rehearsing the Demonstrations piece the sophomores will perform in May. The song selection process is extensive and intentionally honors student choice. It consists of:
1) students identifying the group's strengths and challenges
2) students individually researching ensemble numbers that will feature the group's strengths and/or encourage the group to address their challenges
3) students individually presenting ensemble number ideas to the group and WHY their pieces would be a good fit for the group
4) students listening to and taking notes about each of the proposed ensemble number ideas as a group
5) students debating as a group to consider the pros and cons of the suggested ensemble numbers
6) students voting for the ensemble number
The sophomores have been working to build their ability to hold harmonies and have made a great deal of progress as they've been learning their new ensemble piece, "Brand New You" from 13.
The sophomores are also researching the American Roots of Musical Theatre in groups and will be presenting their findings on Vaudeville, Operetta and Burlesque in the next couple of weeks.

UPCOMING FOR FRESHMAN MT
Current Freshman Curriculum
ACTING: We are about to wrap up our Improvised Stories Assessment and are heading into group improvisation starting tomorrow. We have also just begun a unit on the American Roots of Musical Theatre and will soon research the very first musical.
VOCAL: We are in the middle of individual Vocal Conferences with Mrs. Berry-Wolf where we are discussing the feedback from the first solo performance and setting goals with regard to each student's next steps.
Next week, we will begin the process of choosing our Demonstrations ensemble piece (please see the steps above in the Sophomore section). This will be the piece the freshman who have earned the opportunity will be performing in May.
