Celebrating Our School Grade - We Are an A Three Years in a Row
One School - One Family - We are an A
**Hidden Oaks Family,**
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our school community. The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) has once again recognized our dedication and hard work by awarding Hidden Oaks an "A" grade for academic achievement! This outstanding achievement reflects the collective efforts of our students, teachers, and staff.
As a combination school, Hidden Oaks is held to a higher standard compared to traditional elementary schools. To earn an "A" rating, we needed to achieve a minimum of 64%, whereas elementary schools had a threshold of 62%. We are proud to announce that our school achieved an impressive 70% overall!
The FLDOE's grading system includes several components that contribute to our overall score, including:
- Grade 3 Reading as a standalone component
- Low 25% Reading and Math components
- Learning Gains in Reading and Math
Here is a snapshot of our performance in these areas:
- **Grade 3 Reading:** Achieved 68%, a significant increase from last year’s 63%.
- **Overall Grade 3-8 Reading:** Improved to 68%, up by 7%.
- **Mathematics Achievement:** Rose to 77%, up by 9%.
- **Science:** Increased from 57% to 65%.
- **Middle School Acceleration:** Decreased from 85% to 77%, a drop of 8%, which we will focus on addressing.
We are particularly proud of our learning gains:
- **6th Grade Math:** Achieved ZERO students scoring a Level 1.
- **English Language Arts:** 67% of our students made learning gains, with 60% of those in the low 25% scoring Level 3 or above.
- **Mathematics:** 77% of our students made learning gains, and 75% of those in the low 25% made gains as well.
Our success is not just a number—it reflects the hard work and commitment of everyone in our community. By building a strong foundation in K-2, increasing rigor in grades 3-8, and providing accelerated opportunities, we have created an environment where our students can thrive.
We also take pride in comparing our achievements with regional schools, knowing that our collaborative efforts contribute significantly to our success. This accomplishment is a testament to what we can achieve together.
Thank you to every member of the Hidden Oaks family for your unwavering support and dedication. Let’s continue to build on this success and strive for even greater achievements in the future!
Warmest regards,
Mrs. Bremekamp
Proud Principal

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
We will be continuing our car dismissal system this school year. Please see below for details:
- Drive through the main entrance and have your barcode car tag ready to be scanned by a staff member.
- Once scanned, hang your barcode car tag from your rearview mirror so that your family name is visible.
- Follow the parent car loop towards the front of the school and proceed to the cone number assigned to you at the entrance and wait at that cone.
- Your child will be notified immediately in their classroom when your tag is scanned and will be waiting for you at the specified cone.
- Staff members will assist your child in the car on the passenger side only.
- Remove your car tag once your child is in the car so the staff knows that you are ready.
- All cars will be dismissed at the same time. If your child is delayed, you may be asked to pull forward to a designated space and we will walk your child to you.
*** If you do not have your car tag available during dismissal, you will be asked to park. Once dismissal is over around 2:25pm, you will go to the front office with your ID to gather your child.
Tea Cups and Tears
Parents will be permitted to walk their Kindergarten students to class on the first day of school, Friday, August 12th. Please arrive at 8:30 am if you would like to walk your child to class. You will enter the building through the south gate located near the garden. You will need to sign in before entering the building. Please make sure that you have registered with the front office, preferably before the first day of school, and RSVP so we can pre-print your visitor badge. Otherwise, if you cannot register at the front office prior, you must do so on that morning after 8:30 am.
After you say goodbye to your little one, please join us for a brief gathering so that we can welcome you to Hidden Oaks K-8 School! The event will begin at 8:45 am. Please be sure that you have been cleared through the main office before entering the building.
