Exciting News From The Principals Desk!
There have been a few changes to our allowable expenses for the 24-25 school year that we are excited about. We continually evaluate our allotment spending guidelines to ensure that we make as many educational opportunities available as possible to your students (children) as we can within the laws and regulations that guide correspondence schools. For this year we have added that each child can use their allotment one time per year to pay for themselves and one teacher-parent to attend a fine arts performance such as a play or musical or symphony performance. We want to make sure that your students get the opportunity to be exposed to the fine arts as part of their educational journey if you choose.
Another exciting change is that FPCS will now reimburse for an entry ticket for the student and their teacher-you! That also includes entry to sports clubs etc. Any educational opportunity such as the zoo, athletic clubs, pools, etc, that you the teacher cannot get into to supervise without paying the entry fee be included for reimbursement. The goal with this policy is that no child be prevented from having access to an educational opportunity due to the fact that a parent who needs to be present cannot afford to enter. You can see the revised handbook for details.
We will continue to innovate and allign our practices here at FPCS to open up the full range of educational opportunities for your children! Thank you for working so hard each day to educate your children and help them be the best they can be!
