Evaluation Handbook from OEP
ASASP Units II and III Evaluation Handbook 2024-25
The following message is being sent to you on behalf of Dr. Charity Magruder, Director of the Office of Employee Performance.
Greetings School-Based Administrators:
On July 9, 2024, all Unit II School-Based Administrators received the Units II and lII Evaluation 2024- 2025 Handbook to utilize during the 2024-2025 school year. In reviewing the handbook, we discovered an error on Page 17. Currently, the handbook reads, “All School-Based Administrators must be formally observed a minimum of two (2) times during the school year by the Appraiser”.
This email serves as a notification of an addendum to the above error currently stated in the Units II and III Evaluation 2024-2025 Handbook. The addendum to Page 17 of the Units II and III Evaluation 2024-2025 Handbook is as follows:
School-Based Administrators should be observed during this school year. The structure for the observations during this school year is outlined below:
All Assistant Principals and SEAD Coordinators should be formally observed twice within this school year. Informal observations should be conducted in accordance with the Appraiser. More details about informal observations can be found on Page 18 of the handbook.
All Principals in Cycle A and D should be formally observed twice within this school year. Informal observations should be conducted in accordance with the Appraiser. More details about informal observations can be found on Page 18 of the handbook.
All Principals in Cycle B and C should not be formally observed within this school year. Informal observations should be conducted in accordance with the Appraiser. More details about informal observations can be found on Page 18 of the handbook.
The Office of Employee Performance (OEP) would like to apologize for this error. OEP will continue to support the professional growth through feedback of all Unit II School-Based employees while utilizing the Professional Growth System. The updated 2024-2025 ASASP Units II/III Employee Evaluation Handbook has been linked in this message for your convenience. Thank you.
The following message is being sent to you on behalf of Dr. Charity Magruder, Director of the Office of Employee Performance (OEP)
Greetings, Administrators, Managers, and Supervisors:
As we remain committed to supporting the growth of all employees, the Office of Employee Performance (OEP) recognizes the crucial role each of you plays in fostering a culture of growth. To continue nurturing this environment, we would like to remind everyone about the upcoming Mid-Year Growth Conference, a key component of the Professional Growth System.
Mid-Year Growth Conference Scheduling:
Appraisers are responsible for scheduling and conducting the Mid-Year Growth Conference with Appraisees. This process must be completed between December 1, 2024, and February 25, 2025, which is the final deadline for concluding this phase of the Professional Growth System. All employees using eDoctrina should complete and electronically sign the Mid-Year Evaluation Conference form/activity. If performance concerns have arisen during the year, the Interim Evaluation form/activity must also be completed and signed electronically within eDoctrina. During the conference, each appraisee should receive written feedback during the Mid-Year Growth Conference.
Interim Evaluations for Performance Concerns:
Appraisees with performance concerns or those under consideration for personnel action are required to have an Interim Evaluation in addition to the Mid-Year Growth Conference. Employees must be informed in advance if the Interim Evaluation will be conducted during the Mid-Year Conference. In addition to the Interim Evaluation, Appraisers should ensure that performance feedback and a growth plan are completed. If support is needed, refer to the Office of Employee Performance Evaluation Handbook. If Appraisers need assistance preparing an Interim Evaluation, please don’t hesitate to contact the Office of Employee Performance for guidance.
Resources and Assistance:
Additional resources for Mid-Year Evaluation Conferences and Interim Evaluations can be found in the School Year 2024-2025 Resource Guide to Professional Growth Activities. Guidance documents for using eDoctrina are available through the platform's Video and Help buttons. Guides and videos for completing Interim Evaluations in Oracle can be accessed [here].
