13.5-Week Progress Reports- Available Friday, May 9, 2025
The 13.5-week progress reports were released in Infinite Campus on Friday, May 9th. We encourage all parents and students to review the current grades, follow up on any missing assignments, and prioritize preparation for upcoming assessments as we approach the end of the semester. Regularly monitoring progress in Infinite Campus plays a critical role in ensuring student success.
As a reminder, students enrolled in Career Pathway programs must maintain a minimum 2.5 semester GPA, while Magnet students must maintain a 3.0 semester GPA to remain in good academic standing. Students who were placed on academic probation at the end of the Fall 2024 semester must meet the required GPA and grade-level promotion requirements by the end of Spring 2025 to avoid being exited from the program.
We encourage all students to calculate their current GPA using the step-by-step guide provided below. Please take a moment to speak with your child about their progress and contact their teachers directly with any questions or concerns.

DISCONNECTING TO RECONNECT TO SAFE AND SECURE TESTING ENVIRONMENTS
📢 Attention Students & Families!
As we approach the Georgia Milestone End-of-Course (EOC) testing window, we want to remind everyone of the critical policy regarding cell phones and personal electronic devices.
📵 During testing, students are not permitted to have cell phones or electronic devices in the testing room for any reason.
This includes devices in pockets, backpacks, desks, or on their person. We are disconnecting to reconnect to maintain a secure and distraction-free environment.
🚨 If a phone or smart device including watches and glasses are found during testing:
-
The test could be invalidated, and no score will be reported.
-
The End-of-Course test won’t count—impacting 20% of the final course grade.
-
It may be reported as a testing irregularity or security breach, which can affect school accountability.
-
Devices may be retained by school administration for up to 10 days while the state investigates for potential cheating.
Help us maintain the integrity of our testing environment — leave phones and other smart devices (watches and glasses) outside the room!
Let’s work together for a smooth and successful testing season!

Tardiness Reminders
Last week, we conducted several tardy sweeps to address students' lack of urgency in getting to class on time. Timeliness is essential for student success and for maintaining a positive learning environment. We encourage you to speak with your student about the importance of being punctual to all classes. Please note that we will continue conducting random tardy sweeps.
Chronic tardiness is a violation of the DCSD School Choice Attendance Policy and may result in disciplinary action, including the potential removal of your student from the academic program at Arabia Mountain High School. We greatly appreciate your support in reinforcing this important expectation with your student.

AMHS Spirit Shirt Sale
On the last Friday of each month, AMHS students earn a Spirit Day when they are able to follow school rules; for example get to class on time, dress in the AMHS Uniform, pick up after themselves in the cafeteria, etc.. Spirit Days are a privilege and not a right. Students can wear black or blue jeans (no holes, rips or tears and no sweatpants or leggings) with a Spirit Shirt to school on Spirit Days. In an effort to promote school spirit and have more students participate in our Spirit Days, we will be selling Spirit Shirts during lunches this week. Parents are welcome to purchase shirts as well. The cost of each shirt is $20 and payments can be made in cash only. Students who choose not to wear a Spirit Shirt with school appropriate jeans should wear their school uniform to school.
