Rocket Update March 3rd

Quarter 4 - Week 28 π
Hey Rose Lane Families!
We have a short week ahead. Just 4 days until our Spring Break begins for students. I wanted to start out by saying thank you for all of the support during last week's lockdown and follow up communications. I appreciate that those of you who voiced concerns did so in a respectful manner and allowed me to have individual conversations with you to ensure as much transparency as I could provide. Thank you for remaining patient as we navigated the situation in order to ensure everything was done appropriately. We will continue to prioritize safety at Rose Lane and I thank you for trusting us with the safety of your children. Your support means everything.
Please make sure you review the March calendar below as we have a lot of events taking place during this month. This week we have our Rocket Booster PTO meeting and we are really in need of new families to participate so that we can continue to grow this organization and provide fun events and opportunities for our Rose Lane students. If you can attend, our PTO meeting will be taking place Tuesday from 4:30 - 5:30 PM in our school Library.
Our Kinder Round Up Event is this Thursday from 5:00 - 6:15 PM! Please come check it out if you will have a kinder aged kiddo joining us next year! Also, please spread the word! If you have any friends or family looking for an amazing kinder experience, tell them to join us Thursday! π
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful Social Worker, Stephanie Loyer! It is National Social Worker week and we want to celebrate her! She has already done so much to improve Rose Lane this year! If you see her this week make sure to let her know how great she is!
Don't forget! We have No School on Friday. π Let's enjoy these next 4 days together! See you soon!
Your Rose Lane Principal,
Andre Reyes, M.Ed.

Art Masterpiece π¨
Art Masterpiece needs YOU!
Since 1983, Art Masterpiece has become a beloved program in the Madison School District to educate our students about artists who have made a significant impact in history. No art experience is required to become a volunteer for Art Masterpiece. We provide training, as well as presentations, resources, and ideas for projects for you to use or you can make it your own!
As a volunteer for Art Masterpiece you will present information about an artist, their art, history, geographic and cultural relevance, artistic value, unique aspects, art appreciation and create a fun art project with students!
If you are interested in being a volunteer for Art Masterpiece at Rose Lane, please fill out the interest form here:
