LAUSD is adopting a smart phone-free school policy based on new state law that goes into effect beginning the second semester of 2025. The policy will be phased in over the spring semester in which any smart device (phone or watch) may not be used at all during the instructional day with very limited use before and after school. Our LSLC (Local School Leadership Council) finalized Enadia's implementation of the policy. Students with smart phones will be required to deposit their phone in a locked storage box inside their classroom during the instructional day. Students will be given their phones at dismissal and will be allowed to use their phones for 5 minutes to check in with parents. Students who stay after school will deposit their phones in a lock box in either the Parent Center or MPR until their parent/guardian picks them up to go home. Parents can always call Coach Jackie to relay any important pick up messages to their children. Students will be permitted to use their phones during an emergency when staff determine it is safe to do so. This policy will be phased in beginning in January with full-implementation beginning in February.
Enadia Way School Class DoJo
Did you know that Enadia Way has a school Class DoJo? We haven't used it since before the pandemic, but we are ready to launch it again! A suggestion from our ELAC parents was to use Class DoJo to relay important school information and updates as they occur since so many of our parents regularly use Class DoJo to communicate with the teachers. Please join our school Class Dojo to see schoolwide stories and flyers and updates. If you get a message saying to pay a subscription, just bypass it.
