Family Literacy Night Success!
We were thrilled to see so many families join us for our recent Family Literacy Night. Thank you to our amazing student council for setting up fun activities, our generous Mac El PTO for providing delicious refreshments, and all of our dedicated staff for reading books, playing games, and supporting literacy for all students. After completing different activities, the evening ended with all kids choosing a book from the book vending machine!
If you missed this event, don't worry! We have more family-friendly activities planned throughout the year. Be sure to keep an eye on our weekly newsletter and download our Maconaquah Schools app for important updates and event announcements. Let's continue to foster a love of reading and learning together!

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Teachers will be sending information for parents to sign up for conferences. Attendance
Regular attendance is crucial for studentsโ academic success. When students miss school, they often miss important lessons, assignments, and opportunities for interaction with their classmates and teachers. This can lead to falling behind in their studies and feeling discouraged. Itโs essential for students to attend school consistently to build a strong foundation for their education and future goals.
If your child will not be at school, you must leave the reason for your child's absence when calling into the attendance line. Thank you!

๐ Braves of the Week
2nd Grade: Katherine Buckberry
Katherine is a sweet girl with lots of luck! She finds a four-leaf clover at recess almost every day! We are the lucky ones to have Kat in our class! She does her job without being asked and is truly a great example to others in our classroom. She is willing to participate in class activities and always has something to add to class discussions. We are so thankful that she is in our classroom this year!
3rd Grade: Jocelyn Riggs
Jocelyn is very sweet, caring, respectful, polite, and hardworking. She tries her best each day. I am enjoying getting to know her. Each day, she becomes more and more comfortable, which allows her to take risks. I am thankful Jocelyn is in my class this year. I can't wait to see her "bloom" even more. Keep up the great work! I am proud of the progress you have already made this year.
4th Grade: Brantley Carpenter
Brantley is a wonderful young man! He is kind to everyone and will lend a helping hand anywhere he can. Brantley works hard to meet expectations and complete his classwork. I can always count on Brantley to be prepared and ready to work in class. Our class is definitely lucky to have Brantley in it this year. Way to go, Brantley!
5th Grade: Xavier Ross
Xavier is so deserving of Brave of the Week. He has come so far since the start of school. He puts 100% into his work, always participates in classroom discussions, and has made so much effort to be a class leader. I canโt wait to see what Xavierโs full potential is by the end of the school year! Great job, Xavier. We are so proud of you!
