Dear CRUNFamily,
We have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. What a beautiful school community we have and we feel the love from each of you, especially this time of year. Katie Busch, our Volunteer Coordinator shared with us that you have volunteered over 1,000 hours so far this year in our sweet school. That kind of love is unheard of and we feel so grateful for your commitment and dedication to helping us do what we do best, love and grow your kids every single day. It truly cannot happen without the incredible partnership that we have with our families. We want to say thank you to you all for being our village, our support system and our CRUNFamily on this journey with your kids, our kids. We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and hope that you spend time surrounded by the people you love and cherishing these moments together. As our sweet first graders reminded us in their performance this week when they sang us the song reminding us that they won't be little for long, we have to hold all of our kids tight because they grow up way too fast and will be all grown up before we know it. Take care and be well and we will see you on Monday, December 2nd.

Cougar Run Bus is No Longer Canceled the Rest Of the Year!!!!!!!
We received great news that our Cougar Run bus route is now fully restored for the rest of the school year. This means that there are no longer canceled routes in the AM or PM for the rest of the year! Bus Driver Buck is so excited to be able to serve our kids every day of the year moving forward. What a great way for us to go into Thanksgiving Break!
Coats and Hats and Gloves OH MY!!!
It is that time of year where our kids are going outside for recess and are close to becoming icicles when they don't bring appropriate outdoor gear for the Colorado weather. Our kids NEED to play outside. Getting fresh air and exercise, even when it is cold, contributes to their learning brains when they come back inside. We send them out if the actual or "feels like" temperature is above 20 degrees so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remind kids to bring their heavy coats, hats and gloves to school when it is cold. Thank you for your help with this!!!

Let’s Give Thanks to Our Volunteers!!
Thank you to all of our volunteers who have been giving so much of their time. Our Cougar Run Family has thrived since the beginning of the school year because of the 1,022 hours you devoted to our classrooms and kiddos. We have so much gratitude for the commitment and love you demonstrate every week.

We had some awesome donations recently, however we found ourselves without anything to lend out this week as they were all taken. Thank you!

Dear Families,
We will be having a cultural celebration on December 5th from 5:00-7:00. We would love to have your family participate. In the gym, we will provide a table for you to display your family’s culture. You will present information from your country through dress, food, a drink, a craft, and/or flags. For the food, it would be a bite-size finger food of an item. Please let me know if you are interested or if you have any questions about this event. I will send more details once I hear back from you. Please email me at aakendall@dcsdk12.org.
Thank you,
