A Cimarron Middle School community communication
Wish Week
We'd like to start this newsletter by expressing how deeply grateful we are for the generous donation support from our community for Wish Week. As a Cimarron community, we raised over $19,000! Your contributions made such a meaningful difference. Your kindness and generosity inspire us every day, and we truly couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for your unwavering support!
Thank you for your continued support as we come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Take a look at the photos below celebrating our winning pods with the most money by having a teacher complete a challenge assigned by students.

Current 6th graders will receive an elective worksheet on February 13. Selections must be entered online by February 20. Worksheets are due to their Social Studies teacher by February 21.

- Choose carefully as there are NO schedule changes.
- It is unlikely you will get all your first choices, so choose alternates carefully and in order of priority.
7th graders, requesting both semester Choir classes in your top choices could give you a year of choir. If you only want choir for one semester, only choose one choir class as a top choice. - Form MUST be filled out completely and have at least 8 separate electives listed, in order of priority (1-8). If the required number of choices is not provided, students may be scheduled in ANY available class.
- Prior experience is required to sign up for Band, Orchestra, and Spanish 1B & II.
- Students in Dimensions of Literacy will be automatically assigned, if the class is required, and will take the place of one elective period.
- E-Media & Yearbook require an application and will only be assigned if the student is selected for the class. Do not number these classes. Please make sure you complete and turn in the separate application to be considered for these classes. Forms are available in the Counseling Office.
- 8th grade Select Choir requires an audition. Please see Ms. Barrett for details.

Donations
Donations Needed: Please drop off all donations at the front office. We appreciate you!
We are always looking for gift card donations of $5 gift cards to support our Be RED card Friday Drawings. Students love Fika, McDonalds, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Berry Blendz, Swirls, Target, and Five Below gift cards.
In an effort to show our appreciation for our outstanding staff, we are launching an initiative to provide them with tokens of gratitude throughout the year. These tokens, though small, carry a significant impact in letting our staff know that their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. To achieve this, we have created an Amazon Wish List filled with a variety of small thank-you gifts that our staff members would greatly appreciate. These gifts will be given out as tokens of appreciation to those who consistently go the extra mile for our students.
The Be RED store is continuing to be a success! Thank you to all the families that have previously donated! We are always looking for continued donations as our inventory gets pretty low; the best sellers are Air Heads, packs of gum, mini Gatorades, and lunch-sized bags of chips/ pringles/ goldfish/ etc!!
Feel free to search on this Amazon wish list but you can always go off board too! Ask your student for ideas on items they would like to see in the store! Thank you!
