Mustang Memo Quarter 4
March 14, 2025

Message From The Principal
Dear Miller Mustang Parents and Community
Welcome to the Month of March and week 1 of Quarter 4,
With March Madness, weird Spring weather, and Quarter 4 upon us, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are ready to show how hard we worked all year! Teachers are helping our students solidify what they learned and create confidence as we head to our "Big Game". This first week back is intricate to our learning and we can't wait to see you Monday Morning! We will review procedures and expectations and dive into curriculum.
This week we look forward to a full week of learning, a special Kona ice visit, and our Spring Movie Night. Please remember every minute counts and it is so important for our students to be at school from the beginning of the day to the end! We know some appointments are unavoidable, but our 4th quarter focus is On Time, All day, Every day! If we can support you in any way please reach out to your teacher or the front office! Mustangs RIDE together to success!
Please take time to read all we have in store for 4th Quarter! As you plan for the month of April please make sure you avoid our testing days!
Warm regards,
Katherine Sabel M. Ed

Registration and Parent Requests 2025-2026 School Year
SAVE THE DATE!!!!!!
Please use your ParentVue or come see us in the front office to register for next school year!
We are working on our budget and staffing and want to make sure all of our families are registered! This years enrollment is still 60 students away from getting more funding, more support staff, smaller class sizes, and more for our students!
We are preparing for a Family Engagement Registration and Kinder Signing Day Event the evening of March 25th from 4:30-7. If you have friends or family in the neighborhood who did not attend Miller this year or are not registered, please share all the amazing things happening at our school! If you just need help registering come in and take advantage of this community event!
Mustangs RIDE together to success!
*If you would like to make parent requests for next year they must be turned in by March 31st. In an effort to create even equitable classrooms, there will be no parent requests taken after March 31, 2024. Thank you for your understanding as we begin planning for an amazing 25-26 school year!

AASA STATE TESTING
We are two full week away from beginning our AASA State Testing!
We have worked all year to grow as a school and are teaching our students the importance of trying their absolute best to show just how smart our Mustangs are! Please help us by reinforcing this in your conversations at home. Get them excited about taking the AASA just like we would about watching our favorite game on tv, or going to their events to support them! Have intentional conversations about how proud they make you when they work hard and do better than they did the last time!
Please do what ever you can to get your students here on time on testing days.
Remember checking them out early voids their test. Please help us by limiting technology for the next couple weeks, getting students to bed early, and ensuring they have a healthy breakfast at home or at school!

Attendance Matters
Attendance at school from the first b-ell to the dismissal bell is vital. The first hour of our school day from 8:30-10:00 is pivotal grade-level learning! Before break, we had 131 tardies (25 or more each day) coming to school after 8:35. We know it is difficult and we are so excited to see you always. With the extra 15+ minutes each day gives students an hour or more learning each week! If you need support in anyway please let us know!
If for unforeseen circumstances your child is unable to attend, please ensure that you report and excuse these absences. There is a new feature this year in the ParentVue App to report absences. Under "Student List", you'll see a blue "Report Absence" button next to your child's name. If for any reason you need assistance with this, or need to report the absence over the phone, please call the office at (520)908-4202.
