BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING: AUGUST 20, 2024
Update from the Board President
Board President Jayma Bammerlin welcomed the community to the first Board of Education meeting of the 2024-2025 school year. She noted that students are back in the buildings and the halls are full, marking a strong start to the year. Additionally, she noted that all sports, academic and activity fees have been waived for K-12 students, removing financial barriers and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to participate.
Update from the Superintendent
Dr. Kristine Michael noted that it has been a successful beginning of the school year. She reported that the district is fully staffed, students are settled, and teachers were rested and eager to return to the classroom. She also shared the excitement around the new athletic stadium, which is now complete and was celebrated with a grand opening event on August 12. The community is enthusiastic about the new space. Dr. Michael reminded everyone of the updated parking patterns for high school football games. Lastly, she announced the formation of a steering committee for the district's strategic planning process, with the full committee set to meet in September to begin their work.
Treasurer Update
Northridge Treasurer/CFO Britt Lewis shared that Northridge is excited to announce that both breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to all students, a critical step in ensuring that no student goes hungry.

- Olen Corporation / Kokosking Inc. to the Athletic Department in the amount of $200.00
- Licking County Farm Bureau, to the Northridge FFA in the amount of $250.00
