Ready for Soccer Season? It's almost here! If your 7th or 8th grader is interested in trying out, please see the attached parent letters for details about online registration for the upcoming season.

The Community Engagement Committee at Briggs Chaney Middle School is committed to developing meaningful partnerships with the community as well as our local businesses and organizations. We invite you to join us on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00pm - 3:00pm for our first annual WinterFest. Come out for some community fun... there will be face painting, arts & craft, free cookies and hot chocolate, and vendors for shopping. We are also donating gently used coats and raffling off baskets with gift cards! Hope to see you there!!!

Middle School KID Museum Maker Night is on Friday, January 24 from 5:30-8 PM at our 3 Bethesda Metro Center location. Participants will take over the museum as they try a variety of maker challenges using a wide array of tools and materials. Please read the flier for more information.

• Tickets are $10 per student but we also offer scholarships if cost is a barrier.
• Pizza and drinks will be provided to everyone who attends.
• Students will need to provide their own transportation to the museum.

Our FABULOUS BCMS PTSA is hosting a Winter Sneaker Wonderland Dance on Friday, January 24th from 6:30p-8:30p. This week tickets to the dance will be sold during lunch.

The Springbrook Community Art Show is next Thursday, January 23rd at Springbrook HS from 5-7 PM. Briggs Chaney MS Students' artwork will be represented along with the other NEC schools that feed into Springbrook & Springbrook HS' program. Come check it out!

All 6th grade students are invited to participate in Outdoor Education taking place in March. As a way to help 6th grade parents understand more about the Outdoor Education experience, the Smith Center is offering an open house on January 21st. For more information, please review the attachment.

The wait is finally over! After so much planning your PTSA is proud to announce that our very first Winter Sneaker Wonderland Dance will be on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. That’s right, the students are having a dance! Announcements have been made and flyers have been put up around the school. Tickets went on sale Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025 during the lunch hours. Tickets will be $3, students will only be allowed to purchase one ticket. Tickets sales will be outside of the cafeteria from 1/16-1/24 during lunch. In order for this to go off without a hitch we need your help, we are asking for donations of party decorations, table games, as well as volunteers. Let’s make this something to remember. ** We are looking for parent volunteers to help sell tickets to the dance, and assist with setting up, chaperoning, and clean up after the dance. BCMS WinterFest is being held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Paint Branch High School. This event is a community event involving different vendors, prize giveaways and so much more. The school is collecting gently used/ new winter items (coats, hats, gloves) until Friday 1/24, please drop items off in the main office.
