Please remember your student will need his or her ID each day at school . They are to be worn at all times. There will be a $1.00 charge for sticker ID's and $5.00 fee to replace the ID. All students are to have their id showing when they get to school. If ID is not shown they will need to get a sticker or replace ID. If students pictures are scratched out or covered up they will be charged for a new ID.

NO Squeezable Water Bottles - We are no longer allowing students to have these water bottles at school due to misuse of the water bottles.

No spray or cologne allowed. Please keep these at home.

Please, NO Food Deliveries (Doordash / Postmates / UberEats):

Please do not order from any delivery service for your child or allow your child to order from a delivery service for their school lunch. We cannot guarantee that your child will receive their food. Due to staffing and our new security measures, we are not able to manage meal delivery for students. Please keep their lunch account filled or send lunch to school with them. Thank you for your assistance!

Security

You must show ID to enter the building. Even if we have “seen you before” we ask that you bring your ID. There is always a possibility that the person checking IDs has not seen you before.

Thank You to the many families that have completed the Annual Update.

If you have not submitted an annual update this school year, please go online and complete the Annual Update today. This must be done even if there are no changes to your information.

The Annual Update in Infinite Campus allows you to tell us that nothing has changed or have any updates to your contact information, address changes, updates to emergency contacts, health conditions. In order to ensure we can communicate with you regarding your student, or in the event of an emergency, it is essential that we have your up-to-date contact details. Please note that it is a State of Arizona requirement.

Please note that you'll need to use a computer or laptop to complete the Annual Update as a smartphone will not process the update.

Click the "Parent Portal - Infinite Campus Login" tile.

Enter your username. This should be your email address.
Enter your password. You would have created this password when you set up the account. If you cannot remember the password, please contact Mesquite Junior High at 480-926.1433 and we can reset it for you.
Click on “Message Center” and then click on “Complete my Annual Update.”
Click through ALL tabs and verify the information is correct.
Include a new power/water bill or lease/loan agreement if you have moved.
Click submit at the end.
Once you submit your update, you will no longer receive the Annual Update emails.

Although it's called an "Annual Update", you can submit additional annual updates throughout the year to make any changes to a phone number, add or remove emergency contacts, update a new address, update health conditions.

Budget Override Continuation

Election November 5 - GPS Budget Override Continuation Information

Gilbert Public Schools Governing Board approved that in November 2024, voters living within Gilbert Public School boundaries will decide on a proposed 15% budget override continuation. This would be a continuation of the existing budget override approved by voters in November 2019 and in place since the 2020/21 school year. The existing override generates approximately $36 million annually to:

• ensure competitive salaries to recruit and retain high-quality teachers and staff in classrooms,

• maintain programmatic choices for students creating future ready graduates,

• maintain campus safety and security personnel and,

• maintain class sizes with allocation to class size reduction.

Tardiness: Any student entering the classroom AFTER the bell has rung, and who does NOT have a written excuse from a staff member or the administration, will be considered tardy. If a student arrives after 10 minutes, it will be recorded as an absence.
