From Mrs. Hubbard, Principal
The Governor Winslow School Community is so grateful to our friends at Marshfield High School. Student, staff, and parent volunteers gave back to the community by beautifying our gardens through the “One Heart, Many Hands” initiative. Elementary students loved having lunch with their high school buddies. Also, Project Reach is a wonderful program where students from Marshfield High School tutor Governor Winslow children after school. Elementary students look forward to the homework help given by high school role models. Thank you to Ms. Hayes, Governor Winslow School Director, and to the dedicated Marshfield High School students who made this year’s program so successful. On May 30, we look forward to welcoming back some former Governor Winslow School students who will be graduating from high school this year. Our GWS community is proud of our MHS graduates and offers congratulations to all MHS graduates. We are one Marshfield!

Parents and guardians of students who have an IEP and/or 504 plan are invited to learn more about what transition is and how it applies to your special education student. Discussion will include how transition fits into your student's current education, future education, and life after high school. Learn more about what transition looks like at each grade level (elementary, middle, high, and POST Program). Meet with a representative from the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for information on what is available to special education students as they age.
The night will begin in the MHS Presentation Center and then break into grade-level rooms for your choice of more specific transition Q&A sessions.
