NHS Weekly Family Newsletter
November 3, 2024
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Students and Families,
In times of challenge, the strength of our community shines brightly. Last Friday morning I was reminded of the kindness, resilience, and unity that make NHS such a special place. Students and staff showed everyone that we are more than just a school; we are a family, committed to lifting one another up and facing any obstacle as one.
Our commitment to each other is the foundation of our strength. Let’s keep encouraging our students to stay focused on their learning, support their peers, and remind each other that no one here stands alone. Together, we can weather any storm and come out stronger.
Thank you for your trust, partnership, and unwavering belief in our community. Let’s continue to lift each other up, celebrating our shared values and vision for a brighter future.

PARENT CENTER
Conduct at Sporting Events
Parents,
Our athletes work hard to represent NHS with dedication and skill, and we want our fans to support them in a way that reflects the spirit of respect, sportsmanship, and unity we hold so dear.
We encourage everyone attending our games to show support in a way that uplifts our team and respects our opponents, referees, and fellow fans.
Celebrating our players' achievements and respecting others, win or lose, helps create a positive environment that makes NHS events memorable for everyone.
Let’s make each game a proud moment for our school community. Thank you for helping us model great sportsmanship and ensuring that NHS stands out not only for our talent but also for our character.
Go Panthers!
Senior Information
Remember that we have a Senior website to help communicate important happenings throughout the year. Check it out!
Fantastic Fridays
We want to remind everyone about the importance of making the most of our Fantastic Friday rotations. These are 3 dedicated 45-minute opportunities each Friday for students to meet with teachers for tutorials, make up missed assignments, and finish any outstanding homework. This time is invaluable for staying on top of academic responsibilities.
We encourage all students to take full advantage of this time to ensure academic success. If you have any questions or need guidance on how your student can make the most of these sessions, please reach out to your child's teachers.
Decorations Needed
We are having a fall semi-formal dance on November 9th. We are in need of some decorations to make the event nice for students. If you have any of the following items/decorations that you would be willing to lend or donate to the event, please let me know at bgibson@normangeeisd.org.
- Fall themed garland
- String lights
- Lanterns/Candles
- Pumpkins (real or fake)
