Bothwell Buzz
August 2, 2024
Dear Bothwell Families,
We have exciting news! The teachers are busy moving into the building today. We have a couple of ways you can help: carrying items to classrooms, sorting school supplies, hanging bulletin boards and creating supply bags. If you are available over the next week, please use the Sign Up to schedule a time to volunteer. As we have needs, we will add dates and time slots.

To keep the surprise element for the big reveal intact and to ensure we are in compliance with current safety measures, we kindly ask that volunteers come without their children during these sessions.
Unable to volunteer your time? That is okay. During our professional development week, we are planning to show our appreciation for our teachers with various, small prizes. Some ideas would be five dollar gift cards, Flair pens, orange accessories, fun sticky notes, and even small hand written notes. If you would like to drop some items off in the office, we know the teachers would appreciate your kindness.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Meet the Teacher on August 12th!
Happy Friday,
Kristen Aune

Bothwell Arrival and Dismissal Map
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Here is the most updated arrival and dismissal map. We have made a slight adjustment this past week that will create a safer route for walkers. The crosswalk will now be directly across Coventry.
Arrival Procedures: 7:24 AM to 7:45 AM
Car riders will be dropped off at the front of the school on Coventry Dr., the west side of the school building. Staff members will supervise students as they get out of their car. Please encourage your child to take off his/her seat belt and open the car door. We want to encourage independence. Students will need to get out on the passenger side of the car. A staff member will be available to help open the car door if needed. Parents should not exit their car in the carpool line. For your child's safety, never allow your child out of the car without a staff member present. When leaving campus, cars will need to turn right on Coventry Drive.
Walkers will enter the front of the school on Coventry Dr. Please remind your child to use the crosswalk and look for passing cars.
Bike riders will enter the front of the school on Coventry Dr. When the bike riders are on campus, they need to walk their bike. Bike racks are located in the front of the school; all bikes need to be places on the bike racks.
Bus riders will be dropped off at the back of the school on Huddleston, the east side of the school building. Staff members will supervise students as they get off of the bus and enter the school building.
Dismissal Procedures: 3:05 PM
Car riders will be picked up in the front of the school on Coventry Dr., the west side of the school building. Staff members will supervise students as they get in their car. Parents should not exit their car in the carpool line. When leaving campus, cars will need to turn right on Coventry Drive.
Walkers will exit the front of the school on Coventry Dr. Please remind your child to use the crosswalk and look for passing cars.
Bike riders will leave from the front of the school on Coventry Dr. When the bike riders are on campus, they need to walk their bike.
Bus riders will be picked up at the back of the school on Huddleston, the east side of the school building. Staff members will supervise students as they exit the building and load the bus.
With Bothwell being a new campus, we anticipate a couple of learning curves to perfect the arrival and dismissal procedures. Please be patience with us and trust that we are working to ensure every student arrives and leaves in the safest way.
Transportation Information
As the District continues preparing for the start of the 2024-2025 school year, our Transportation Department would like to communicate that "Bus Rider" requests must be submitted no later than August 6th to ensure ridership on the first day of school. The Bus Transportation Request Form is included in the New Student and Returning Student Required forms that are submitted through Skyward's Family Access portal. If changes to a bus request that has already been submitted are needed, please contact the campus directly to update that information.
Detailed information on routes, including pick-up/drop-off times and locations will be made available to families on August 8th through the Skyward Family Access portal. Please visit the Celina ISD Transportation Department's web page to access a wealth of useful information to help answer all questions regarding the school bus riding experience at this website address: https://www.celinaisd.com/our-departments/transportation
