Last Week At PCHS
We completed our first full week of school last week. Obviously, everyone is probably a little exhausted but excited to get back in a routine of seeing our students every day.
On Wednesday before school, we had 30 students show up for our first Impact 4 Life meeting. This is a voluntary meeting each Wednesday morning for our staff and students to hear an inspirational message from members of our staff, our student body or community. Kelby Daniel, our assistant principal, spoke at this meeting. Terry Buster will speak at this week's meeting.
We had a great turnout for our annual Meet The Bobcats event on Thursday night (see pictures below) as our cheerleaders, band, volleyball and football teams prepare to start their season this week over the next two weeks.
Friday was Fall Picture day (we just wish it felt like Fall!).
We announced our Class of 2025 Homecoming Court on Friday. They are Lydia Garrison, Lara Gunderman, Memoree Hester, Kaylie Motes, Ayla Stowe, Jaci Sutherland. Homecoming will be on Thursday, October 10, this year because of Fall Break. We will have a parade at 2pm, Community Pep Rally at the football stadium at 3:30pm and our game vs. Carbon Hill will be a 7pm with the crowing of the new queen at halftime.
Four of our Senior girls participated in the Distinguished Young Women contest over the week at UNA. They did an outstanding job and we are very proud of the courage, talent and skill they showed. Lara Gunderman won second alternate for Franklin County!
Have a Great Week!
